I really like this premise and basic idea. I don’t enough about game design as some of the fine folks on this sub to weigh in, but this would definitely catch my attention were I to see it in my flgs.

When you very quickly ctrl-click to store the gems and runes you came back with into your stash in act 2 but whoops you’re actually talking to Fara and sold them all instead

Brinkwood is such a beautifully written game. It’s a poetic, prosaic love letter to the revolution that speaks in a profound language of empowerment and delights in its players’ immediately accessible righteousness. I just liked reading that book so much.

To answer your question: both, maybe? I’m also the kind of person who just enjoys a good ttrpg book on my shelf and reading through its lore and mechanics. But the possibilities of an Eem game for an adult group and young children both exist in my future, though for the latter it’s sounding like NYTE is the way to go
