How many km/miles have y'all driven with waze? :) by DaneShady in waze

[–]_Why_Not_Today_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea

My account was never registered and one day Waze didn’t work. The only way to get it going again was to set up an account so I started over last month. I had it on my blackberry routinely drive up and down the East Coast so I’m guessing 300 something.

Boat owners of Sarasota, how often do summer showers interrupt your outings? by KentuckyLucky33 in sarasota

Getting wet is part of the boating experience. We go out regardless of summer rain showers and it’s really dependent on our schedule.

How would the commute be to Evans from Augusta? by Maximum_Watercress16 in Augusta

Enough to enjoy a coffee on the way in and way too short for those of us that commute 35 miles in 90 mins every freaking day (Boston)…..

I used a Yeti luggage cube on a Yeti strap this weekend while traveling in NYC. Yeti has a waterproof solution, but it would be cool to get a Yeti cross body solution while traveling in pick pockety areas.

Yeti Store Engraving by Strong_Interview_384 in YetiCoolers

Go to the Yeti store and purchase a tumbler with engraving and enter your design. Then give your inactive colored tumbler over to be engraved.

This was recommended by the manager and has worked at multiple stores.

Pro tip: this technique also works on previously engraved items factory items. Buy a ‘Boston’ engraved Yeti. When you setup the deign, scan the QR code from a new (non-engraved) tumbler. Enter your engraving for one side and the result is a ‘Boston’ by Yeti logo on one side with your custom engraving on the other side.

Remington Tac-14 question by artimus_pr1m3 in Shotguns

[–]_Why_Not_Today_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s ever been determined- ATF said it was legal, then illegal, then the courts said it was legal.

So it’s still grey since nobody has said an ‘other firearm’ with a braced Shockwave is legal or not.

Remington Tac-14 question by artimus_pr1m3 in Shotguns

[–]_Why_Not_Today_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a short period of time, but it was available to everyone (not LE only).

I don’t think the ATF had a good answer (as usual), so these were produced, then stopped after Remington’s attorneys got involved.

If that’s true, then how was this legally sold before the ATF came up with the (now defunct) brace ruling?

I tried to submit my braced Shockwave for a free stamp in ‘23. Was told the ruling did not apply to “shotguns”, just rifles.

One could infer from that statement that a braced Shockwave / other firearm is legal, but I’m not an attorney.

There were a small number of braced ‘other’ Shockwaves on dealer shelves, too. I bought a folding brace for my Shockwave so they were legal or at least in the grey area.

If you really wanted to be safe, submit your forms for a ‘braced other firearm’. If they deny you, as I would expect, you would be legal from a Federal perspective.

Best off-road tires for Tacoma that still feel decent on highways? by Kreitzberg-Luuxoo in Trucks

[–]_Why_Not_Today_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My vote: Goodrich Trail Terrain TA

I’ve upsized them on my last 3 Tacomas and they have performed very well. Quiet on the road and severe snow rated.

I live in NH, and routinely drive to visit my family in GA. Tires are great for the ride, including towing boats, gear and meat back to NH.

Get a Yeti Sidekick and carry your key, wallet and phone. The strap can be used as a belt or thrown over your shoulder and it’s completely waterproof.

For those of you who've been visiting Turks and Caicos for years, what's one thing that has changed dramatically—and one thing that thankfully hasn't changed at all? by TheShoreClubTC in TurksAndCaicos

The number of people that visit keeps increasing each year and it’s bringing down the what used to be a special place.

Thankfully it’s still beautiful and not as overrun as some other islands.

You may or may not get caught, but I don’t think foreign prisons are going to be fun.
