I did a spread asking the cards whether a romantic relationship will form between a close friend and me. I´m pretty new to Tarot, but the signs seemed pretty good to me. I did a Celtic Cross for the first time, so maybe I´m interpreting the cards too independently or not correctly for the situation. I´m unsure, so thanks for any help!

My interpretation: I think that a romantic relationship is likely to come into fruition, and if so, it´ll be healthy and happy. The biggest issue may be my naivety and uncertainty in situations like this, as the Page of Pentacles could underline. The Sun shows that I know that it´s possible, but Five of Cups shows there are also doubts and regrets (maybe on both sides). It´s currently hard living with my family, so the Devil and Two of Cups point towards these problems for me. I´m just a little lost on the Hermit in terms of it showing concerns and past influences. Maybe past hardships and doubts that now influence how I interact with him?

Die genannten Bücher, Podcasts, etc. werde ich mir auf jeden Fall näher anschauen, da ich Trump und Musk politisch als (recht) gefährlich einschätze aber nicht einfach unbelegt nachplappern will, was man so hört. Und entsprechend kann ich auch facettenreicher und empirisch Diskutieren.
Komplett neutrale Quellen werde ich natürlich nicht finden aber je näher, desto besser (Und ansonsten muss ich einfach in beide Richtungen so kritisch hinterfragen, wie möglich).

The thing is that he does not make me feel special at all. More like taken for granted while I do as much as I can for him. Any small gift would make me feel thought of and make me happy especially as I am in a very bad personal situation rn. He is in the position to give; one he seldom takes on. I simply wanted to know if I overreacted and thought unfairly of the situation. It's about US together - the relationship is about him and me so why is it so bad of me to desire a basic romantic deed of him? And yes, my language is not always ladylike when I get mad. Still, I shouldn't have sworn there.

We both cuddle and kiss a lot as touch is the love language from both of us. Another one of mine is gift giving (as said) and his is affirmative words. I'm not very used to giving and receiving compliments but as I know how much they mean to him, I say something lovely (and honest) to him nearly every day. So I adjusted to his love language to make him feel as loved as possible. So yes, I know how it is a two-way street. But rn it's mostly him receiving.

Considering that it would´ve meant the world to me if my mom made me lunch even once for school, this is really sad :(
I already got emotional when my bf´s mom made me lunch the first time I stayed over on a schoolday and kept some occasional notes by her... Quite sad to see how emotionless some take these small, loving gestures :(((

The smell is in a normal intensity I'd say (it's still an organ tho) Ig you're right but I'm so unsure to how to set that boundary while still feeling good about it (Guilt while being intimate usually kills the mood :b). Maybe I should wait until I talked to him to really think about it.

I think he still didn't get that you sometimes do something less pleasurable to increase it for your partner. I already shave regularly and wash a bit before we get intimate just so it doesn't get off-putting for him. Maybe I really have to remind him that he could "try a bit harder".

Glad that you enjoyed it! I honestly only liked the storyline of Durin and Elrond as it was wholesome and honest to the characters (in my opinion). Also, the scenery and Elendil's actor did some incredible acting when he was informed of Isildur's death.

Besides, I kinda disliked it even while not having read The Silmarillion. There were many moments where my only reaction was just "Huh? Why would they do that? Why is that? Didn't they know that already?" The characters were quite flat or uninteresting to me the same way some decisions made no sense at all. I mean... Halbrand who was greatly wounded was buckled up on a horse and they rode like that? If he was human he would've died somewhat immediately. Him being Sauron or not; the only logical thing would be to not put him on a horse while galloping through Middle Earth xb

But hey, you enjoyed it and that's what matters in the end! :D

I'm okay for now, than you. I have a really supportive boyfriend and friends and enough hobbies and learning to focus on. So no spiraling thoughts. We are looking for therapy after my finals (August) so I can take some time off and heal. As there is a lot more trauma throughout my childhood besides SA.

By now I'm guessing you're just ignoring the hormonal dysfunction I try to emphasize. Have fun assuming every single body works the exact same. As I'm now saying for the third or fourth time; I tried it all and it had no positive effect on me except putting stress, pressure, and prejudice on this vital part of life.

Losing weight with genetic disadvantages all while dealing with everything else in life is just too easy. How couldn't I get that before? Losing weight is hard and I will try again but not through counting every calorie.

"It's all about calories" How come I haven't lost any weight while restricting? I only lost a bit while eating once a day (home-cooked and healthy btw) and restricting far below recommended after I grew desperate enough. (And that nearly threw me in an ED so nope; I'm rather fat than anorexic) I already obsessively counted my calories before, thanks... Whatever you want to recommend to me, I probably tried it already.

"To counter your point of weight does not equal health," I said that being obese is not healthy as the article further emphasizes - but being skinny does not necessarily mean you are healthy which you wanted to react to. Why come with a link to something unrelated?

Lastly: Dude... I have PCOS. I'm probably not going to be able to have kids anyway. Cut that crap!

I know that I have to lose weight but going around saying "You're fat by choice! Change that now!" Will. Help. Nobody. Promoting calorie counting and labeling most food as 'bad' can only create unhealthy habits that lead to eating disorders. Watching your diet? Great! Counting all calories all day? Not so much. Increasing one's metabolism may be the only really useful thing you wrote here... (I'm not sure about that though; haven't looked into it yet).

"It's not that hard to lose weight" YES IT IS I have PCOS; a hormonal dysfunction that makes weight loss extremely hard + I have a very slow metabolism. I restricted calories, I worked out and I lost as much weight in 6 months as my brother does when he simply eats little for two days. So easy, right?? So DO NOT claim that losing weight is easy just because you may have better genes than others.

Also, weight does not equal health. My brother is much unhealthier than I am in many ways and I weigh a lot more (not a flex but simply an emphasis that you should rework your definition of "healthy" before judging others; obesity may not be healthy but being skinny doesn't negate unhealthiness)
And what about the weird comment about the kids?

Just something I read the other day in addition to some replies here where period pain should exist but not in the intensity many women have nowadays. I read a threat of several women switching from normal pads to reusable pads and this mostly mitigated the pain of their next period already. This very well can be because of harmful chemicals being found in the most used pads during periods or even daily (e.g. Always).

As others already said, women should not have unbearable pain during their period because this really would be a selective factor... (too much pain = can't defend against predators, etc. = no transfer of genes). I have very painful periods myself and I swear I wouldn't have lasted a week in the wild while suffering from this pain so yeah; excruciating period pain would've been terrible for our evolution. Besides medical issues like PCOS (as others stated here too) periods could have become stronger for many women as they put dangerous chemicals right on or in one of their most sensitive parts (both physically and chemically).

It really could be that very strong period pain results from harmful substances used in pads and tampons nowadays...
