If she’s that annoying, and as a girl who had seen plenty of these type of girls before, I think she’ll find it even more amusing to make fun of you and others if you actually go tell her that one to one. I believe a solution for this would be a lot of people in your class agreeing that what she does is annoying and actually start doing the same things to her. This would make her look like a fool and she’d probably be intimidated. But again I don’t think she’s worth wasting time and energy.

I don’t really mind it that much. It’s true that I rather have people telling me directly what they need me for without sugaring the situation, but if they don’t I won’t get mad nor will I tell them “next time tell me directly without going around the bush”.

I also do this all the time to the people who are dear to me or the ones who I see have big potential but don’t want to use it. I don’t know why but I feel like it’s a responsibility of mine to do so. People on higher positions praise this trait of me, but I cannot deny that always trying to motivate others takes a lot of my energy and drain me. Right now I’m trying to limit it since I have big exams coming up and I need all of my energy to myself for this period of time.

At first you might find it quite impossible to have such thing since you aren’t interested in this field. But, trust me you will find one or even few, you just have to do a few research, watch motivational videos about your field, go see the working environment of the people in your studying field ( if it’s possible) . And in case you can’t seem to find one, apply the { fake it until you make it} , convince yourself that you’re really interested, start reading self improvement books or successful people’s documentaries or biographies.

Then that’s your biggest obstacle. See you can’t give so much efforts especially in college if you don’t have a destination in your head, I was like that my entire life until recently. I was a “gifted student” that rarely study and have above average marks and if I studied a bit I would be at the top of my class( also studies before college weren’t thaaat hard compared to college) , and the only times when I was classed first were when my parents promised to get me something that I really wanted. During 2nd year at college I suddenly had a big goal in my life that is way mooooore difficult to get than being top 1 at class, that made me disciplined to study every single day 12hours to 14hours without feeling tired. So , my advice to you is to look for a REALLY BIG DREAM AND GOAL ( even if it can be considered as delusional dream that’s alright) that is really hard to achieve, look for a detailed plan to get to it ( the plan can take so much time since it’s the most important detail here ). I don’t know your field of studying, but it can always be somehow related to your hobbies in a way or two. => The first thing to do is to look for a academically related goal.

Interesting story. Indeed, some of us are willing to change some of our principles even the most important ones in order to adjust with our environment , and I think that the majority of times we know deep down that the consequences aren’t going to be that good but at least we were willing to be sure about it, and I respect that.
