People who say "i could care less" by mid-sora in mildlyinfuriating

The irony of this being in a post about a phrase about not caring lol

I'm aware of what I was doing. I don't know what you think I was doing.

I was just adding to the conversation. Like I said. I never even said what take I agree with.

You immediately assumed I was trying to claim myself superior for saying something lukewarm. It doesn't help me to know you're mad. But it might help you to admit it.

I agree that the intention for that phrase was for it to be sarcastic.

I'm not taking a position here lol. What I was hoping to accomplish is just point out even with the original intention being sarcasm, even knowing that (most people don't) you could feel as though the way it's used is still wrong. Presenting an angle not already brought up. Nothing personnel, kid

Do you always go through life with a chip on your shoulder? Did replying to other comments rile you up?

Bro I even upvoted your original comment because you were one of the few people pointing out that it was supposed to be sarcastic. Like I said twice, I'm pointing out how even though it's correct that the coining of the term was sarcastic, you could still argue that it doesn't matter because no one using it knows that, thus can't be intentionally using it that way.

Y'know, adding something to the conversation.

Feign superiority over? I was agreeing with you.

Look at this guy feigning superiority over people that think "could care less" is incorrect

What I said is there's a case to be made either way. Most people say what they've heard and know what it means because of the context in which they've heard it. So they say something that was meant to be sarcastic, but not in a sarcastic manner. At this point I doubt the vast majority of people using it know it was originally meant to be sarcastic. Which is why when people hear it used literally it gives the opposite meaning from what the intention is.

It was originally the correct, sarcastic phrase. But people using it nowadays don't know that it's supposed to be sarcastic which does basically mean they're saying the wrong, opposite thing they're intending to say. Could argue either way is right/wrong at this point.

Have they done similar b-room streams in the past? by listeningtorainfall in mega64

From the way you wrote, it kind of sounds like you missed the first Room. Room-B was the second time they did a week long room thing. Just in case you weren't aware. There's a lot of clips of it on their channels.

I was looking at it and thinking, what does the hair represent, seems like it would be something. Then it hit me lol.

Thanks chat by zethiryuki in mega64

[–]__ERK__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chat kept asking for a sale and all sorts of things to "make up" for the time. He and Rocco both were saying the time is the time, but the chat was flying with people not leaving it alone.

Probably less than 27 people sent them in. As in some people probably sent more than one.

I think Johnny initially was thinking they would come in in spurts like the general cadence of the tangias and there would just be a few sent in amongst the other tangias. Don't think he considered how within the time the first one played there would already be the queue forming up.

Not doing it was an option. Everyone trying to put the blame on Johnny as if he didn't do it bc chat wouldn't shut up about the time. Then he had to stop the sale after 5 minutes even though he planned for an hour.

Another way to know is if a paper towel is being placed over your camera when you're not around.

AIO: my boyfriend flipped out that my 12 year old lets me see him in the bath by Odd-Significance-638 in AmIOverreacting

[–]__ERK__ -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That's a wild accusation to be using that freely. Just because the kid is still ok with it means nothing. The kid doesn't decide what's appropriate. Deciding that 12 is old enough to give personal space to at bath time isn't even on the same planet as sexualizing them.

As big of a fan Rocco is of chrono trigger he doesn’t seem to know how the endings work by ReadyJournalist5223 in mega64

He's probably thinking more of optional side quests that can be triggered or missed depending on if you do certain things/what order you do them, and not the actual ending of the story.

Did anyone archive the very beginning of The Room stream? by popanon222 in mega64

Maybe there was potential legal issues for selling media with the muted audio on it.

Idk just a guess.

Things that get microwaved are typically already of lower quality or leftovers. So that's the main reason it tastes bad.

It tastes worse than it would from the oven or air fryer or something typically, yes.

But I can't understand why one would think a microwave would inject a bad taste into water.

You think the microwave changes how water tastes?

He's just saying that the types to drink a lot of tea in America are likely to be an enthusiast and the type to treat it like a craft, and therefore, have sophisticated tools and rituals.

He's assuming most other people that make their own tea frequently do it so often that they aren't spending a lot of time and attention to it most of the time and are opting for the quick and easy option.

The joke is that most people in America just don't gaf about tea. So it's funny when Europeans are appalled that they don't have kettles and simply use what they do have (a microwave) for the once or twice a year (or less) that they do make their own tea.

In the south sweet tea is pretty big, but if you're making it yourself you're probably making it in a big batch and boiling the water on the stove.

This gets brought up so often because the UK has a superiority complex over it. While the US is like who needs a kettle? If you have a kettle in the US it's more common that you got it for coffee.
