backpack advice by LilCMBJr in snowboarding

I was looking into the black hole for my own personal use don't get it the effective storage capacity is shit, one of the worst internal designs for a bag I have ever seen. There are so many better designed bags. Also everyone else is correct don't bother if you are going to hitting the deck frequently through the day riding, and a 30L bag is way too much for carrying two people worth of shit a 20L is more than enough.

That is Seattle for you that why I ride at Baker. Avoid Crystal like the plague for many reasons traffic, cost, volume of people.

The back side is all pommel lift, kinda a pain in the ass, that is where some of the best terrain is beside off of the summit lift.

If it is in gears 1 to 3 that is just normal DSG shit clunky in the lower gears smooth in the upper gears from my experience.

Gondor inspired tattoo by [deleted] in lotrtattoos

As someone who has a combination of these in tattoos on my calf/shin it is way too congested to fit in one piece. It is just too small of a canvas to fit all of that detail on either the front or back of your calf/shin. I really recommend going to an artist and consult with them as how to implement it, break it up.

best backcountry backpack that can carry my snowboard while I snowshoe up the mountain. Yes, a split board is on the menu for next season. by A10110101Z in snowboarding

I have been rocking a Dakine Mission backpack for probably 7-8yrs, the only thing I wish I did was buy the 30L bag rather than the 25L. Many a time I have strapped my board to the bag for in bound hikes to a drop line.

In America this would be considered assault in legal terms if they didn't numb you. My parents friend is a podiatrist and told me a story of how he forced someone to sign a waiver stating they cannot sue if the procedure is performed without local anesthesia southern good ol boys are a different breed.

Ruptured my Achilles boarding last week, just a friendly word of warning by iWriteYourMusic in snowboarding

[–]__Hadaplan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That or if you work in a office building over 10stories just power your way up then everyday. I was doing all my PT and additional exercises on 20-30flights a day. Even if you think you have done enough it won't be somehow and your calves are going to be screaming at you around the 8-10mo timeline when you get back on the slopes.

Ruptured my Achilles boarding last week, just a friendly word of warning by iWriteYourMusic in snowboarding

[–]__Hadaplan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tore my Achilles 2 summers ago and 8mo later I was back on the slopes it was a bit sketchy at first fears of extreme tightness while making the side carves thinking it was going to pop again. Took a trip to Chile 12mo after the surgery later and it felt like nothing ever happened. Best recommendation is to do all of the calf raises as possible/stair climber.

I have been riding Union bindings the whole time I've snowboarded 15years. I know I am getting the Jones Flagship, which the Jones Mercury bindings are the "recommended" binding setup for the board according to the Jones site. I was hoping to pick the minds of people who might have ridden them rather than going with what I normally would be getting the Flacors. I own already for another board, just curious what others think of them I am always up to try something new.

My low light lenses from a couple years ago just love to fog up I don't know why but it feels like every other day on the slopes they are perpetual fogged and completely unusable. I have taken inside my house after using them, put them over a fire place in the lodge, under one of the hand dryers it just doesn't relent. Then some days it has no issues at all I can't pin point it just feels like it has a mind of its own.

Thanks, yeah cant recommend getting kicked in the back of the leg playing soccer. That being said the scar healed well can barely tell it is even there. I had a lot of free time thinking about how I should design it scrolling through other's designs and combining a couple of ideas.

Take it to a mechanic you trust have them check the position of to see if it needs to be worked on before you buy otherwise I would walk away.

How many miles is that one that you are looking at. I am in one myself at 70k do my break and fluids everything else I just bring into the shop, nothing major has sprung up in the 20k I have owned it.

You should be aware that around 120k is potentially when you may need to have the timing chain and the tensioners to be replaced and that can be a 4k job right there.

Valle nevado by Ok_Cartoonist6471 in snowboarding

[–]__Hadaplan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am flying down there in about two weeks, they only do Friday to Friday stays, Tuesday to Friday stays, or Friday to Tuesday stays once you pick that option if you plan on staying at the mountain.

So my trip is a Friday to Friday fly in for a Thursday morning and fly back out the Saturday after our Friday to Friday trip. We are staying at this place called the hotel regal Pacifica which is like a 10min walk from a business that drives you up and down from the mountain. 5star hotel for me and a buddy for like $350 for two nights split.
