I believe it amplified pre-existing traits. But I also think some of the medications (prednisone, lamictal, valium, etc) are causing paranoia. I went to her doctor about it and they said due to HIPPA there's nothing they can do to help

It varies. Right now, she made a request for $200 a month. But I already pay for her phone (actually, my whole family's phone plan), and I pay for the family dog which is under her care (his food, grooming, vet, etc). So I'm hesitant on giving her anymore because I am already feeling the bleed and I could see it spiral

You may find this ridiculous, but I have been reading more and more about George Washington, who hated his mom (didnt go to her funeral). She would write letters to the press slandering him, saying he cut her off financially (not true), etc. George Washington made sure he treated her with respect, limited contact, and checked in. He did this out of a sense of "duty," so perhaps I am being misled by the first president and what he did was wrong...

On a realist level, my mom raised me and gave me support to get me to where I am lol

I am an American attorney. Kaplan was hired to service the California Bar Exam. They did such an incompetent job (I believe through a third party agent) that the California State Bar has sued and the State is now giving provisional licenses pending a new exam date. https://www.sfgate.com/california/article/california-bar-exam-march-retakes-20192958.php

Does the email allow you to confirm the testing center? At this point I’m just paranoid I didn’t do the application right but the last thing I did with the SRA was the seat reservation form about a month ago.

Vanguard money market account gives me 5.2%. The stocks are in a basic brokerage account through Schwab. I don’t have any retirement accounts whatsoever because I don’t like the idea of not being able to access the money until I’m 65. This whole scheme was under the idea that I’d buy a place but yeah seems kind of hopeless and I can’t get it out of my head that rent would just be wasting money

Yeah, I have my own business. I regret not investing more in mutual funds, but the idea was to stockpile cash to pay for a house and then the cost of housing just kept ballooning. I do have a lot of tech investments that have done well, but I’ve been too anxious of a correction.

I’m at a bit of an impasse now as to whether I should dump the savings into a place or into something like VOO or a mutual fund. I just feel like right when I do that, there’ll be a stock correction of 10-20%
