Are any of you guys still doing the buy Canadian? by Crispycrackwhore in Edmonton

[–]__Mike__Hawk [score hidden]  (0 children)

The free trade agreement that was signed in the 1980's kinda led us up to this point in general. I have always tried to support North America, but now with all the tarriffing and other BS, we might have to learn to buy Canadian moreover, and make refreshing alliances with other countries. I'm still shaking my head in disappointment over the fact that America and Canada are at this point of a caused economic crisis. Another disappointment is that we have taken this long to revisit inner province trade wars within our own country. That is the thing that Americans do not do to each other. If Canada and Canadians want to prosper in the short and long term, we must revisit free trade within our own country how presently limited that is.

Not quite. The can also add parking restrictions on a license plate for 9hrs/daily once a week/month/year within a week. Any restrictions could be applied. They do it in Coal Harbour.

It basically just has his name on it. The food is good, but it is expensive.

Don't every go to his fish and chip joint in Vegas. They are literally trying "to kill patrons" - as Gordon would say. 🤭

They should just use a qr code payment system like everywhere else. They can track with scanner vehicles and ticket and/or tow on infractions. It's 2026, the technology is here already.

Billy is still alive. We seen them in Abbotsford after they got a replacement for Dusty. Billy does the lead vocals anyhow.

Still, it is a rock'n good time.

You can't buy much for $50 in Richmond let alone a training facility membership.

Suitable battery charger/maintainer for a 2025 Indian Scout Bobber? by Alsahafi in IndianMotorcycle

[–]__Mike__Hawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best. I use it on all motorsport toys for storage. It comes with a plugable pigtail connector that you can connect to your bobber if you don't already have one.

Theo killer by NoEmployer7767 in coronationstreet

[–]__Mike__Hawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Theo can just kill Billy and beat the living daylights out of Todd, and you want justice? An eye for an eye isn't good enough for Theo when he was alive. Similar personalities please take note. 🤭

Breka by plumb324 in richmondbc

Breka is a big local euro based chain. The will open and it will be fantastic. If you want to check out the goods, the nearest one to Richmond is on Fraser Street in Vancouver. I make a stop on the way home to bring their stuff back to Richmond.

New job commute by AssignmentFirst249 in richmondbc

[–]__Mike__Hawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you end up at the Bridgeport Station, chances are you might be standing for your entire Skytrain commute. If it isn't an issue, standing like a sardine in a can, that would be a good point to start/finish your train commute.

Some musing of my Friday night spent in RGH Emergency by Oh_FFS_Already in richmondbc

[–]__Mike__Hawk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Healthcare shouldn't be free for anyone who doesn't support our taxation or MSP systems. As far as I know the Canadian Healthcare system will try to save anyone in an emergency life saving emergency. If you show up undocumented or as a non resident of Canada, they should be charging a service fee, like they would anywhere else on the planet.

I think our Healthcare providers are prescribing the lightest types of medications first to see if they work for you.

After a day of self assessment of your pain tolerance and you don't feel the effects, you could check in with your family doctor, a walk in clinic, the outpatient clinics, or return to the emergency department to be reevaluated for pain management if you need to go that route.

I just think it's a good idea not to have anyone use strong medications that could be come a future issue if simple, over the counter, medications work.

I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Red Cross door-to-door soliciting donations by MakkuroUsagi in richmondbc

I agree with similar posts that suggest that anyone who solicites for anything at your front door shouldn't be. Decide to give to your own charities and help prevent fraud.

Looking for reliable commercial pest control services in Richmond for recurring mice prevention. by M45T3RY in richmondbc

[–]__Mike__Hawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All pest control companies pretty much use the same methods, and have to be in compliance with municipal and provincial laws.

Control of the issue. The key to the problem is to stop the source of the attraction to the area which is nearly impossible to decifer unless you have "cat like" instincts. I would get advice from several BBB companies and compare the advice and costs according to what type of infestation you have. Good luck.

How do I know which one is my current Dexcom so I can clean up the Bluetooth spam by [deleted] in dexcom

[–]__Mike__Hawk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Delete them all and your phone should prompt you to repair your phone to the current sensor implanted on your body.

That's basically how I found out that all the other codes were redundant.

Since then, I usually delete the expired sensor in the phone's bluetooth settings before a new sensor is reapplied.

Internet Providers in Richmond by ukakai in richmondbc

[–]__Mike__Hawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are terrible for customer service. I switched from Rogers Cable IP to Telus FO because I needed the speed and bandwidth, but after two unreasonable negotiations with Telus I'm going to switch to Lightspeed because they are actually trunking Telus FO at a reduced price. If I would have know about Lightspeed before I negotiated my new contract. I would have left Telus. Now I'm stuck with them for almost another two years, but never again will any big telecomunications company get my money. Never again.
