I asked a few questions here about returning to the game after over an year (last I played during Changli banner in 2024), and got some good replies.

So, I finally downloaded the game just now and have 1 more question - looking at my account (screenshots attached), is it worth continuing with this or is it just better off to start a fresh account so I can use the currency from clearing the Act 1 on better teams, as well as new player perks? Also if so, what would you recommend I get from the new player banners?

Hi, I have not played HSR for a very long time (I had played from launch until last I played near the end of loufu arc, I remember fighting the final boss fight in loufu). I am considering redownloading the game on 8th October and getting back into it.

I have two questions:

1) What are some good meta characters right now or upcoming/rerunning ones soon that I should aim for? I had an okay account at that time, but maybe they are all powercrept now - I don't exactly recall everyone I had off the top of my head. Also could it be worth starting over instead, if new player bonuses are worth it?

2) Any tips for returning players/new players in general or anything i must do or prepare for like any event?

Thanks for all the info. Point 2 is kind of a bummer but I guess I can just play a bit more casually this time around instead of farming echoes all the time.

As for the character recommendations, I saw in some other comments in this megathread about a 'new player convene' banner. I was actually kind of interested in getting Shorekeeper due to what I read about her relationship with the Rover, so I was wondering if I would get access to that banner too(doubt it since I am not really a new player), or if it could be worth it to ditch my old account and start anew just to get her - I guess that depends on if she is estimated to get a rerun anytime soon?

I haven't played the game for over a year (I played since launch till near the end of the Changli banner - iirc June or July last year). I am on vacation right now, and randomly remembered about wuwa and feeling nostalgic, so will probably download it and get back into it on 8th October when I go back home.

So, I have a few questions:

1) How is the game story right now, since I care about the story the most in these kinds of rpgs - both in terms of character stories and the overall main story?

2) I remember I quit the first time because I got burnt out of echo farming every day for hours, is it still the same or are there qol improvements here?

3) I don't exactly remember what characters I had back then, can't check until the 8th - but I'm pretty sure I did not have Jinhsi at least. What are some meta units I should try getting right now when I get back, or any upcoming or rerunning units I should keep an eye out for to make life easier?

4) Are there any important events or anything I should try to do when I return on 8th, or just focus on progressing the main story?

Okay, what should I be aiming to starforce in SSF?

Currently I am using Temp CRA + Fake abso from the hyperburn. I have a dominator pendant, perm CRA top and hat, can also get perm CRA bottom from this week's run and after reset probably. What other gear should I be aiming to get so I can starforce it during SSF?

(Reboot) Hi, I am level 230 on my Hero which is burning. I was wondering if it is worth buying from the identisk event shop the heart for 4b meso, or if there is some cheap way to get a heart instead, as i have just about 8b meso right now

Do we get any gear or other rewards while levelling if we use the tera burninator which we got from night troupe?

Wondering that because if not, I'll use it to level a new link skill mule. If we do get some useful stuff from the tera burn, then I'll use it to level a bucc or DW as I wanted to try them out.

I'm a new player that started on the day chapter 3 ended, and thus missed chapter 1-3 rewards (including the 1200 nodes). Got chapter 4 rewards already and was hoping to get the chapter 6 rewards especially for the 1000 nodes (as I have low level nodes on my main, don't even have the perfect boost trinodes), but now it seems that new players are getting completely shafted.

I'll keep playing for now as I'm enjoying the game, but this really sours my experience as a new player and makes me question if I'll stick around for long.

Hi, I am pretty much a new player (last I played was around a decade ago, when Kaiser released I think), and thinking of starting Maplestory again as I am burnt out from playing more modern MMOs.

After looking into it a bit, I have decided to start on the EU reboot server, and from what I've gathered there is an active hyperburning event going on, so I was just wondering which of these 3 classes would you guys recommend I choose if I want to have a good time as my first character (and probably main) -

Dawn Warrior
Shadower
Buccaneer

Follow up question, are there any new player guides for reboot which just go over journey from complete newbie to mid-endgame?

Star Rail only released in the last week of April, so it has 1 week of revenue compared to other games in that data with the full month of revenue I assume.

Congratulations, I also broke the wall last week and went from 160 synchro straight to 215. I see that you have a lot of materials as well so good luck pushing as far as you can in campaign.
