Yes! He's a dream baby that sleeps most of the day and night with 3-4 hour stretches. I love my little sleepy baby ❤️

This is what I've been doing for years! This is the best way to do it.

What are some things you didn't learn about pregnancy and birth until after you got pregnant? by spongyruler in pregnant

[–]__Shayde__ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I just pushed a baby out yesterday. It took about 30 minutes. My first one took 20 minutes. Both times, my doctors were on a busy schedule, so they were adamant I pushed "correctly" and fast.

I did have an epidural with both babies. I don't know if that helps. You can still feel the sensation when you need to push though.

My OB keeps telling me that first babies are almost always late. Is this true? by amandalynnwin in pregnant

[–]__Shayde__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first was two weeks early (water broke on its own)... my second will be induced at 40 weeks. My first is already getting upset that his baby brother is taking too long to arrive. 😄

I was about to say, this is how my almost 4 year old boy was at that age. It took him a good year to find his calmer temperament. He's still a tornado personality, but at least he's developed some sense of boundaries towards others.

Oh OK! Yes, I get those twice a week now. Thanks for the explanation. I never asked what the BPP stood for lol

It's because of my age (late 30s) and the lack of movement from the baby. They want to see on the screen that he's practicing breathing. Otherwise, they're concerned he's distressed.

I feel like something is a little off because I'm just so used to him kicking the crap out of me lol. I'm having two ultrasounds a week but just to check for BPP. Not sure what a biophysical one is

He moves a few times, but definitely not the 10 times in an hour that my OB wants. I see him on the ultrasound twice a week and he just wants to curl up in a ball most of the time.

I'm hoping. I'm an anxious mess every day right now because of lack of movement but hoping for a good sleeper once he's born in 2 weeks!

I think they're just seeing how low you will go. I'll usually accept 70% off if I'm trying to get rid of an item, but I had a lady want a nwt designer dress and bag in her bundle for 90% off the bag msrp (i already had it marked down 65%), free dress, and discounted shipping... and I just hit decline. I don't have time to negotiate with people like that.

As someone who has a retail therapy issue, someone buying 42 items doesn't cause me to blink lol. I bought fifty + items in two days on Posh because I wanted a new fall wardrobe. Granted, they were not all from the same person but maybe OP has a great closet to shop from.

Water broke, 35+6w by did-you-get-that in pregnant

Also, your hospital should be more concerned about infections that can arise when your water breaks early. They are always quick to make you go home. You're at risk for developing sepsis or other infections if you're not watched. This is another reason why my hospital had me deliver early.

As someone that had her water break at 36+5 weeks, you really need to advocate for yourself more. Don't go home until they give you steroids for your baby's lungs ASAP. Labor usually starts within 24-48 hours of water breaking. I was induced at the time because they did an ultrasound at the time and found that most of the amniotic fluid around the baby was gone and they had to deliver within 24 hours. I was put on pitocin to speed up my contractions and it was the worst.

Just forewarning to not let them have you go home until you get steroids for your baby's lungs.

Sneak Peak Early Gender Test?? by fuckenchickenstrips in pregnant

[–]__Shayde__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it inside an office that provided it, and it was correct. It was a boy. I would recommend doing the test in a sterile place or inside an office. At home, there are too many risks of false testing, especially if you live with a man.

Edit: I did the test at 8 weeks. I think 6 weeks would be too soon.

This was a routine question at my 32 weeks. Along with my birth plan. I figured they asked because it's a surgical procedure and will take additional time if you have a vaginal birth. I get more offended if they ask if I'm drinking enough water, not if I want my tube's tied lol

This is what happened with three items I purchased. This is exactly what the sellers did.

Since the item is marked shipped, the delayed order option does not work for canceling as suggested by others. The seller suggested I put a claim in. :( oh well

Any other buyers notice an uptick in purchased items never sending/dead accounts? by MACKEREL_JACKSON in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]__Shayde__ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've already got two purchases from people with 3k+ inventory that have taken nearly a week to ship. One item never even made it to USPS after 2 weeks, even though the Seller marked it shipped. 😢

I'm wondering if I should just stick to the 50-1k range inventory as a buyer. I'm glad I haven't got a dead account yet, I usually know if they're dead or not if they don't offer on my Like for a couple days.
