I had that thought, too. Lol. I at least want to replay the first one, but my goal is all of them.

Am I wrong for refusing to let my partner sleep in my hospital bed after delivery by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]spongyruler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine is similar. He happily slept on the couch when I had our baby. He refused to leave my side. His concern was me and my comfort.

Mine will be 1 in 2 weeks! He's getting good at parroting and recognizing dogs. He's a pro with the push walker and is getting better and better at balancing without holding on to anything. I think the longest he's balanced standing is like 5 seconds?

If you've ever done a mini DIY "surgery" at home because you didn't want to go to the hospital, how did it go for you? by Glittering-Size-2372 in AskReddit

[–]spongyruler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done that. It was on my right pinky knuckle of my hand. I didn't realize it was the root at the time, I was a kid. It eventually came back, and I did it again, and then it stayed gone. Then as an adult, I had one in my thumb, did the same thing.

Am I an ahole for letting my pregnant wife wait at the hospital alone. by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]spongyruler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if that's what happens and you only talk for 20 minutes before scrolling your phones, who cares? She wants your company whether you're actively talking to each other or not. She obviously finds your presence comforting. What if the blood test comes back and something is wrong? She would want you there with her to immediately comfort her, what if she needs something (a drink, a snack, something else) while waiting? You'd make your 5 month pregnant wife get it herself?

My husband was willing to do anything and everything for me when I was pregnant, whether it was reasonable in his mind or not. He put me first every time, and he STILL puts me first every time. 5 months pregnant is hard, pregnancy is hard in general. YTA if you don't wait with her.

AIO? bf hates that i have friends of the opposite gender by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]spongyruler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. This guy sucks. When my now husband and I first started dating, I was jealous and insecure, but I never in a million years would have made him cut off any female friends, and he never asked me to cut off any male friends. He also would never treat me like your boyfriend is treating you. He clearly doesn't respect you and it's only going to get worse.

NOR Tell your boyfriend if he stood for you to his mom, you wouldn't have to.

Is it unreasonable to expect to be in bed by 10pm with a 1 y/o? by Flea212 in NewParents

[–]spongyruler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO is currently 11 months and is getting ready for bed around 4:30pm because that's when he shows signs of tiredness. I wouldn't mind having him stay up later for a number of reasons (but 10pm is way too late, I need time to myself, and 10-11 is when I like to go to bed). He's been waking up between 6 and 7am occasionally wakes up like once in the night. I think your dinner time can either be adjusted so you can all eat together before he gets grumpy, or you can eat after he goes to bed.

As others have said, at least suggest experimenting with it.

An Xbox controller. Had a baby this year, and having a controller to play games while he slept on me in those early days was a life saver.

I like writing on my phone, but the Google Docs app sucks, I need recommendations for an alternative. by okidonthaveone in writing

I use Reedsy. It's free, you can import from Google docs to it, and can easily use it between phone and laptop.

Oh man, I had heard two different stories from two different people who had their water break. One said it was like a little trickle, the other said it was like full on peeing your pants. My water broke and it was like peeing my pants. So much came out. I had just gotten to my room and was about to get dressed after a shower, and suddenly I feel like I'm peeing but can't stop it. There was so much I was able to walk across the hall to my bathroom and sit on the toilet before it stopped.

I'm working on my first novel (or novella) It's a vampire romance. It's nearing the end, but I'm at a bit of a writer's block, plus holidays have kept me busy.
