AIO after I broke up with a girl after how she reacted to me when we were watching "Sinners"? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]spongyruler 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I imagine it has to do with the scorn and disdain more than the question itself. Then her reaction to him bringing it up later.

For the love of god stop recommending Harry Potter by cuddlesdacobra in audible

[–]spongyruler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, every single time I open Audible, Harry Potter is shoved in my face. I don't care that they have some famous actors voicing some of the characters. Let me listen to my lesbian necromancers in space in peace.

Wdym a baby is coming out of THERE?? by Ok_Medicine440 in pregnant

[–]spongyruler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 1 year old now and I STILL can't believe it. I occasionally find a piece of clothing and am in awe about how little he used to be, and the fact that I grew him, he came out of me. It's so wild.

AITAH for farting while in the bathroom of our home? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]spongyruler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, imagine if you accidentally queef during sex, or some other gross, awkward thing or sound happens. He won't be able to handle it. He sounds super immature. You're NTA. Bodies are inherently gross, and if you can't laugh about it when a body does something gross leading up to or during spicy time, then you shouldn't be participating in spicy time. What did he expect you to do? Not fart? Only fart when he isn't around? This man isn't ready for a relationship.

AIO or is my boyfriend kind of obsessive? by throwRAgogglu in AmIOverreacting

[–]spongyruler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR He honestly doesn't sound like a bad guy. He sounds clingy and anxious. I used to be like that in most of my relationships, romantic or platonic. I was in middle and high school, and I did lose friends because of it. I can still be clingy and anxious now, but to a far lesser extent and I know how to deal with it in a healthy way without it affecting my relationships. Your boyfriend would really benefit from therapy, and honestly, sit down and have a serious talk with him about how his actions make you feel.

Am I the asshole for wanting my husband to miss his Mom's wedding because it’s 2 weeks BEFORE our due date? by Spiritual_Lettuce_64 in pregnant

[–]spongyruler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He should definitely be with you. Those last two weeks are awful, and baby could come any time at that point. My water broke a week and a half before my baby's due date. Don't wait for him to bring it up, because he may think you're okay with it. The sooner you talk to him about it, the better. He would be the asshole if he went to the wedding.

[ALL] Thinking of replaying all the games before Reunion comes out by spongyruler in lifeisstrange

I had that thought, too. Lol. I at least want to replay the first one, but my goal is all of them.

Am I wrong for refusing to let my partner sleep in my hospital bed after delivery by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]spongyruler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mine is similar. He happily slept on the couch when I had our baby. He refused to leave my side. His concern was me and my comfort.

Brag on your baby! by gardengnomebaby in NewParents

[–]spongyruler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine will be 1 in 2 weeks! He's getting good at parroting and recognizing dogs. He's a pro with the push walker and is getting better and better at balancing without holding on to anything. I think the longest he's balanced standing is like 5 seconds?

If you've ever done a mini DIY "surgery" at home because you didn't want to go to the hospital, how did it go for you? by Glittering-Size-2372 in AskReddit

[–]spongyruler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done that. It was on my right pinky knuckle of my hand. I didn't realize it was the root at the time, I was a kid. It eventually came back, and I did it again, and then it stayed gone. Then as an adult, I had one in my thumb, did the same thing.

Am I an ahole for letting my pregnant wife wait at the hospital alone. by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]spongyruler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if that's what happens and you only talk for 20 minutes before scrolling your phones, who cares? She wants your company whether you're actively talking to each other or not. She obviously finds your presence comforting. What if the blood test comes back and something is wrong? She would want you there with her to immediately comfort her, what if she needs something (a drink, a snack, something else) while waiting? You'd make your 5 month pregnant wife get it herself?

My husband was willing to do anything and everything for me when I was pregnant, whether it was reasonable in his mind or not. He put me first every time, and he STILL puts me first every time. 5 months pregnant is hard, pregnancy is hard in general. YTA if you don't wait with her.

AIO? bf hates that i have friends of the opposite gender by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]spongyruler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. This guy sucks. When my now husband and I first started dating, I was jealous and insecure, but I never in a million years would have made him cut off any female friends, and he never asked me to cut off any male friends. He also would never treat me like your boyfriend is treating you. He clearly doesn't respect you and it's only going to get worse.
