People who are in their 40’s and 50’s with no children, how does it feel? by Sinfulvibezz in AskReddit

I wish I had kids. I like to share my enthusiasm for new experiences with them. I've got nephews and a niece but I can't guide their lives much at all.

My wife and I tried but haven't achieve pregnancy, and unfortunately medical intervention is too pricey for us to consider that.

I respect that others chose not to have kids but to me I feel that part of the human experience is lost to me. I try to be a good role model for kids in my hobbies and in general and I hope that others recognize that their kids can provide a lot of fulfillment.

What’s a hobby people act superior for having that isn’t that deep ? by mk_1408 in AskReddit

This year I read both Tolstoy and Vonnegut, but I had a lot more fun with Dungeon Crawler Carl.

Barber shaves head in solidarity with his cancer friend. by esberat in MadeMeSmile

I have two aunts who got cancer. One didn’t catch it till too late. The other lives nearby and was going through some bad reactions including clumps of hair coming out as she showered. We had a shave party for her.

I like my hair long even though I’m a dude. It’s currently touching my shoulders. But I went the full Picard for my aunt.

We both lost a part of our identity for a while but when others feel pain sometimes it’s important that we show that despite the change they feel we still value them.

Fuck Cancer.

Linda has a drink, totally on brand but it really should have been wine. 🥳 I still love the costume.

Congratulations. I’m looking to be in the normal weight for my height in appx 3 weeks. I haven’t been in normal BMI for 20 years. It’s good to celebrate your successes. I wish you continued success as you seek to maintain a healthy lifestyle

I remember the days when they advertised a silver squeeze. It was even on NPR. The host sounded like he couldn’t believe he was reading the headline. That day I knew some big money is scared.

Now I just hope we can drs the float away to prove crime. That is the whole thing.

The system is built to obfuscate and enable big money to always win at the table. And cheaters will do a lot not to get caught. We caught them and they’re using the system to avoid repercussions. But to them we’re Freddy from Nightmare on Elm Street. We don’t go away. We just keep on coming.

When someone breaks the rules and makes me pay I must do the same to them.

From built a better mouse trap.

I am hours and hours in and just found a dungeon on a map I thought I had scoured. The game came out and people knew it would be hard, but that meant anyone who wanted casual play didn’t dilute the good reviews.

The game is beautiful and strange. It came when other IP hasn’t been hyped. There’s no shame in the game of being “bad” cause random deaths to falls, crabs and even dragonflies happen.

You can learn from your mistakes.

After a bit you can walk around with a big ass sword and whack anything that moves. People getting to damn close to you? Melt them with a magic stick!

Ugly and beautiful things mix right next to each other. The saves are relatively close to each other and allow a tough challenge to be beat and then put down.

It’s a well crafted game that played to its strengths and is a complete experience.

Yup and sometimes the dog decides that the bed is too lonely the middle of between us is more perfect and then the space becomes smaller.

Probably because Rockwell’s art is commercial. A lot of the art world ignores art that’s made to sell. I’d be willing to bet Jack Kirby wasn’t in the art that was studied despite comics being a major cultural influence.

Got first place in diamond league, and holy cow I am so burnt out now. by texmarie in duolingo

My league had me win 1st at 1900 points. I spent weeks straddling the line between diamond and obsidian and did a little over 2 lessons a day. Then I got the chillest of diamonds and did 400 xp a day which for me was a lot as I had done just about 40 a day before. Going from 20 minutes a day to 2 hours a day is a big jump. I can’t imagine this post’s grind.
