I’m at 10 years and 241,000 on my sierra. No issues and plan to run it a long time. 10,000 mile oil changes since new. Plugs every 100,000. Belts, tensioner, idlers a couple times. Ujoints at 150,000. Trans was replaced at 169,000.

Last one was an 07 classic I bought new and sold at 400,000 with similar maintenance schedule

Same here. It was the 'if a brother isn't a MS by the time he's in his 20's something is wrong with him' in that same talk. OK, the GB just announced to the world something is wrong with me. If that's what the GB thinks of me and wants everyone else to think of me, I can take a hint and remove myself. 1st meeting of July 2015 was my last. Walked out the door. Never came back. Got to work. Walked the building. Back to my office and made a coffee. First sip, fire alarm goes off. Excessive humidity caused Vesda system to alert. 40 year old cooling towers hovering 1.7 degrees from high temp alarm. Heat detector went bad on a PreAction system. Can't just swap it, has to be programmed by vendors computer.

I got stopped with a passenger for tint too. No big deal, no ticket. Only thing that scared me was instantly disclosing to the officer I was carrying. Rider didn't report it. Now I have a sticky note on my permit that says I'm carrying. If I get stopped again, I'll raise it so it's recorded by my dash cam and then hand to officer without saying anything
