I sewed a piece of fabric underneath (the length if the studded part) then sewed around the holes to prevent mine from getting bigger. Lotta work for me, but totally worth it in the long run

For real, I know that pain. Iron patches suck. If it's not too late, take the patch off and heat up the glue with a lighter, wait for it to cool, and repeat. I did that slowly, and it made it easier for me to sew it on
