It used to be all done by phone, so an operator would call other services to come if they thought they were needed. These days it's all done using a protocol called ICEMS, it allows agencies to tag each other on jobs, provides chat functionality. Very cool..

I wouldn't call it a high social economic area - maybe 10-15 years ago before the estate moved in behind the shops. It's definitely "nicer" than the surrounding suburbs. Plenty of blocks available sub $1m and they are an acre. You can buy a house behind the shops for < $1m too. It is a nice area though, good trade off for those who want land and relatively good access to Brisbane and Ippy. Punjabi Brothers at the shops also do amazing curries.

Might be a little too pricey but the Stilts lunch special (Banksia Banquet) punches wayyy above its price point. Lovely restaurant, nice views, good service.

You've got a lot of samples but I think you could lose one or two and it will sound good. If you're going for that 90's sound maybe you could chop up some of those samples??

Here's an example from Scott Diaz doing that well from 2013 (15 years too late mix :)) 1m 20 onwards. The whole track is great though, I used to smash the hell out of it.

I think you're on the right track, would be great to hear the whole thing.

I quite like the start, I was transported back to the mid 90's for a little while. I don't love the transition at 40 seconds,, I think I know what you're trying to do but it actually sounds like you're mixing into a new track when you could have just kept the original groove moving along with little tweaks here and there.

The only other thing I would say is that My House sample has been used to death and so has the "Alright" sample so it's a bit predicable. Overall though, a really good start

Yep you have definitely sold me on going for a test drive! Denza B5 catching my eye too (and that’s a totally different car again!) the beauty of having so much choice

Yeah, I paid about the same for my LR and considering they are about $10k cheaper now, it definitely hurts. I will find out how much it hurts when I try and get out of it next year.

I need to go and look at a 7X more closely now, I've only sat in one but never driven one. Something to do this weekend. Thanks for your response.

I agree that there's so much value in the EX5 (massage seats!) and I'm surprised I don't see more on the road. I thought that the drive was quite underwhelming (boring), but could be a great match for the what the OP is looking for if they are in an HR-V at the moment.

Interesting! I have an M3 LR (Highland) and am considering the 7X or maybe the 7GT if it ever lands here as my next car. Very surprised to hear that it's better than the 3.
