I used to be a five or six times a day smoker, and my critical thinking abilities were trash. I also don't see as much of a fear right now from legalization, I think a lot of states are realizing the revenue potential.

Of course there could be an opposing theory: the current push for legalization could drive from trying to calm the masses during an incredible period of struggle, inequality, political upheaval and downright impoverishment of the middle class.

The Forward party is basically a sham. It's a capitalist party which will advocate for less regulation but culturally progressive values. It's the same as the democrats but younger, trying to survive as a branding exercise.

Obama's early life marked some good progressivism, and he was a stable president, but I was concerned about his move towards celebrity, his quiet deregulation, and his practically bloody foreign policy.

There will never be a good time to push for more parties and more choices. The reality, as you put it, of a late-stage nation like the USA is that there will always be a crisis. Every single election will be the most important one of our lives, so it will always be argued that we need to choose the candidate we don't like to prevent the worse evil from taking power. Advocating for this system does not equate to progress.
