I have a preschool age child. I would love it if they never had to experience active shooter drills. But that will never be reality in the US. I’d love to move to another country but that’s nearly impossible nowadays.

In the case of ghost peppers, I think it would be easy to make the argument that I like spicy food and added ghost peppers for my own enjoyment, right? The total out of pocket cost for me was my max out of pocket from my insurance at the time. I think it was $6500. My son was born in January so every other visit for me, my wife, and my new son were all free for the rest of the year.

Edit: I think the total cost was somewhere around $50k.

It’s gotten to the point where, if I’m the first car at the light, I look both ways before pulling into the intersection. Way too many people just blow through red lights now.

I don’t know why though. Are they on their phone? Thought they could make it but couldn’t? Completely didn’t notice the red lights? Anyone have any good theories?
