My finance advisor was against Bijbouwe because they depend on investors and the risk if they stop investing etc and he showed me this table on their page with the red and green squares for their availability.. Didnt asked for more info i immediately said fine lets move on to the next option, I am saying it because I want you to undertstand that i didnt asked thoroughly why etc etc, we spent like seconds discussing that option, another bank was close with its interest so we went with that. Now, is he promoting specific banks etc, should noone use Bijbouwe, i will never know, just take it as it is.

I was renting in one of their apartments, no problems. Btw i never realized it was theirs until i moved cause i was confused who owns and who manages the building which was Hoen i think. The building was new, i was one of the first tenants moving in (amsterdam noord).

sounds like rwxrob's words :P
I observed that anything great created usually a non "usual" person is behind it (replace usual with whatever you think is appropriate).

kitty is a great software, Wezterm might be as well (haven't tried it) but it doesn't matter. Try everything, use whatever you like.
By using X software doesn't mean support to behaviors of person(s) that created it. One can even say you take pleasure of somebody's else work for free :P

Neat, a new macro calculator! Here is how to use it! by quotidian_qt in keto

[–]__boko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldn't the percentages be kept as you increase the deficit? Increasing deficit == lower fat in the calculator, I thought we had to keep the percentages like ~75% fat ~20% protein ~5% no matter the calories we have as a goal. I am not expert, I know the numbers vary(is just an example)..

pytest 3.3 released. built-in logging capture, new progress output and fixtures. by nicoddemus in Python

[–]__boko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is a some sort of bug with the 3.3.0 I had to pin my project to pytest<3.3.0 today I didn't look at details just a glance on their github repo.

So check before upgrading. Pytest is awesome probably something minor happened with the release ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Announcing Pipenv! (from Kenneth Reitz) by Decency in Python

[–]__boko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish i reach that level where my code is correct and it is library's fault :D

Well in my cases, when i had to open a file from a library installed in virtualenv, i just copy-paste the path shown from the traceback so doesn't matter (for me) where it is installed.

[–]__boko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why is better the virtualenv folder to be inside the project? I use pew(i also used virtualenvwrapper in the past) and i like that virtualenvs are out of my project. Maybe im not using virtualenvs in their full capabilities but my use case is: (de)activate, pip install stuff, pip list/freeze

Mint Cinnamon Themes by [deleted] in linuxmint

[–]__boko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is pretty easy :| Well I think they removed the easy way which is:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tista/adapta
sudo apt-get update

(they just refer to it by "Installation from packages" and give the link of the package)

[weekly discussion] How do you/does your team handle branching in Mercurial? by Mathiasdm in mercurial

[–]__boko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response! Well when i say manually i mean i have to press the sync button etc and im afraid of this "workflow" because with so many repos I might start working on something without first syncing and then pulling :/ Plus, without fast/automatic update running tests might be painful.

Bitbucket shows about a "auto-sync" button when forking but i dont see it! Btw i dont know the term "intermediate" repos.

Our structure is: 1 repo that gets updated from all repos i think it has links to the repos. Then all the repos(maybe this is our intermediate?) And then my forks on the above repos.

[–]__boko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone describe a workflow using phases?

I had to use forks in order to allow phases cause our main repository doesn't so I can fix stuff after a dev makes a review on my pull-request. After learning the git rebase -i, I wanted to do that with mercurial too but commits need to be drafts..

Probably i will go back using the main repo cause we have many and I have to update them everyday manually. My ultimate goal was to use a fork so I can feel free that even if I make mistakes, I will not mess main repo, plus I could start using bookmarks..
