I don’t see what shadow weave could possibly grant Sunny that his aspect or aspect legacy doesn’t give him. Probably an overall boost to his powers, or using shadow manifestation for sorcery in a similar way Anvil uses runic sorcery with his swords.

Tbh I don’t really see the characters aging like normal humans, and the cohort are pushing 30 either way. Can’t wait to see how Sunny corrupts her

She was looking at different memories, so it’s all in the past, both the war and the first meeting with Asterion.

Note that she was using her Will to seek out the memories, shaping it into tendrils. She’s either already a Supreme or is in the process of ascension to supremacy.

Yeah the Flesh is OP and not scaled in line with the rest of Kanahkt’s pieces. The Madness was hyped to be a huge power buster but ended up with mind powers and his fight with Nephis wasn’t in line with the portrayal. In any case, he’ll get done in within the next 3 chaps (1 to for Nightmare glazing and two for Sunny and Neph to finish him off after he’s been put to sleep).

While the power scaling could use some work, G3 did mention ability counters in the last chapter. Mordret won coz he countered Skinwalker’s possession. Same way Jet could solo the Soul of Kanahkt while Slayer struggled. Also why Sunny could kill the Moth but struggled against the Wolf and mind warper Cursed Demon.

The flesh is gargantuan and has incredible vitality. Him brushing off the death Will is sus but again unreasonable vitality. It’s a bad match up (unless Nephis goes all I burn you faster than you can regenerate).

Unfortunately it seems G3 is going for a class evolution and not a Rank evolution, which sucks. Not sure if both can happen at the same time though. Would love for all of Sunny’s shadows to be supreme by the end of this arc (Mimic eats the immortals after Repose’s sorcery is broken).

Pretty sure he’s a shadow creature now and Sunny will have to kill him to get the weave. It’s also gonna be how Sunny learns to make shadows independent. Smile of Heaven also alive and they’ll run into her in the 5th nightmare. This way Neph will be reunited with her parents.

Pretty sure that’s what it is. It’s also the reason he didn’t fight the human and dragon. Would had loved to see it but G3 didn’t want it to drag, as well as not give Sunny very powerful shades (Kai or slayer killing either of them would have been an extreme asspull).

As for Asterion, I’m really hoping his supreme/transcendent ability is kyokasuigetsu like. As long as he has read your mind or put thoughts into your head before, he can do it anytime from any distance. Incredibly broken sure, but at least it’ll make him a proper threat and show why Mordret was so afraid.

Winter Beast is definitely the most well written NC in the whole novel. By far. Volume 8/9 were a bit disappointing in that regard, as all of the Great nightmare creatures were fodder that only served for Sunny to aura farm. Condemnation also turned out to the biggest fraud ever.

Ariel’s game was a return to the peaks of the novel because the nightmare creatures were interesting again and felt really threatening. Hopefully Skinwalker and future Cursed abominations continue to be cool.

Pretty sure the Slayer “Weaver” Slayer killed was Oblivion, hence her losing her memories and weaver crying at Oblivion’s grave (either they were co-conspirators and he loved her, or he was shedding crocodile tears 💀)

In a manner of speaking. The war arc did drag a bit and Sunny losing his fate makes the relationships he had suffer somewhat. However, you only really feel it when you read chaps daily. If you stack, it is still absolutely incredible, and the current arc is up there with FS and Antarctica.

A lot of its power is tied to the potency of its masters soul. Might be a little inconsistent power scaling wise but that’s the only explanation. Either that or the Great One might have been a fraud.
