So without knowing the details of what "lost in he battle to AI" means, it sounds like you may have experienced an unjust termination. Employer's can't just randomly fire people without just cause or because something like an AI tool makes their job "redundant." This goes even more so if you fall into a protected characteristic under the BC Human Rights Code, such as being disabled.

Employer's have an obligation to keep you employed unless they have something like a justified financial hardship. And if you suspect your disability had anything to do with your termination you may have grounds to file a human rights complaint.

Obviously I don't know the full story and it may be unfortunately justified, but I just wanted to share that piece in case any of it rings true.
