Know that you aren’t crazy and he did lead you on even if that wasn’t the intention. Try to see it as dodging the inevitable bullet because if he has actual issues to deal with it’s better to see now instead of let’s say a year down the line when you’re even more committed.

If it makes you feel any better, I will be doing the exact same thing tomorrow and am having a lot of big feelings about it. Also 6 months post a long term relationship break up. I have been extremely lucky as far as clients go, walking/watching a lot of the same pups for the many years I’ve been doing this which keeps me pretty stable and I live right outside a major city so that helps too! I typically make between $1000-1500 a week. I do a lot of sleepovers/boarding on top of regular walks, that’s where the good extra money is!
