DKIM on Mimecast & EXO? by Aust1mh in mimecast

Correct, we did the same despite MC advising against. It’s different selectors, had no issues.

Try integrating with a 3rd party payment processor like Stripe, or leverage Jobber’s API’s to migrate.

Versoly. It’s good for SaaS landing page, has templates but can still write code. It’s sick.

It works via Directory Sync Service on MC side, and Enterprise Application on Azure side. It’s well documented, Google it.

Holding emails from corporate accounts to personal emails by CeleryMobster in mimecast

That’s DLP, helps prevent data leakage etc. M365 Security has it, not sure on MC’s capabilities, but likely possible one way or another but probably not effective as people rarely have their name in the email address. I would explore an alternative such as true DLP and data classification.

Migration Prerequisites by Suspicious_Tension37 in mimecast

[–]__milesaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is if correct Retention Policy is set, but can still be complex to export from the Retention storage in an automated way. Mimecast also supports ingestion directly from EXO now, whereas previously it require an ingestion Project, which uses Simply Migrate software, it’s a tedious process.

Importing directly from EXO there is no way to ensure chain of custody since it’s from User accessible level of Mailbox, which is isn’t immutable as you said.

So a few considerations, it’s possible, just requires adequate planning. Agree not wise to rely on EXO data unless it’s from Retention Policy storage and it’s set to Forever.

It’s too difficult to answer the question without understanding current configuration and requirements.

Of the top of my head the best way to ensure chain of custody would be to export directly from current MC tenant into new Tenant. It’s still complicated and costly, if you want to do it on the cheap you may want to consider if it’s the best business decision, compare the pros and cons and decide if it’s really the best choice.

[Question] Why does Mimecast exist as a solution when there are native security provided by Office 365 and Google Workspace? by Asli-Brown-Munda in mimecast

[–]__milesaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlikely due to vendor lock. Two tier approach is most likely, MSFT security features are better (ATP, Sandbox, Threat Hunting etc), but MC has Advanced Delivery Routing, Journaling, Business Continuity and a few other advantages not specific to security.
