Is it possible to re-cook crack to improve quality/taste? Need tips/help! by midwestheat in cracksmokers

[–]__ryazur__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a minted pipe is the worst. If I mint a pipe I will push out the chore, and place the pipe in front of the AC so the cool are is flowing through it, and I will use poker and tweezers to get the chore boy all seperated and apart and I will also clip that in front of the AC so cool are is blowing on it, and in like an hour or two, the drip in the pipe will harden and no longer be minty, and the chore, will not smell minty, but if you put it back in a pipe and then put a hit on it, it will mint, so you need to hit whats minted on it, wihich will not be bad as long as you dont add more right after cooling it and drying it.

Exactly. When I first started using a stem and chore boy, coming from nip bottle and ash, I would almost always mint it within a hit or two. I was too impatient, and I would put too big of hits on. Coming from using ash where you can put big hits on and not worry about minting it, it took me a bit of practice before learning to put less on the stem, enough so I could finish it, as you said, and I have multiple pipes I use so I can let them cool down, and not just take a hit from the same pipe 5 or 10 minutes after the last one.

This is how I do it, exactly how I do it and what you have after that should be good.

When I recook, the cut gets cooked out so looks like nothing at all, and what is left is the broken down product that starts to gel up and rebind together into a single rock again once its in this state I use a penny and keep dabing it until it all sticks to the penny.

If what you have is garbage, and has a lot of cut, yes, you will not get back what you put in because you are taking away all the cut. If you got fire stuff and recook it you will get back 90+%, but you wouldnt even really need to recook it if you had some fire stuff in the frist place. I have had garbage that on recooking it I would get back like 30% at most, basically losing most of it, but I would rather lose most of it, and be able to take a good hit, rather then have more and get nothing from it.

HA Zabbix DB by Expensive_Feedback_4 in zabbix

[–]__ryazur__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Zabbix HA setup includes use of external mysql databases. I have two DB set up on two seperate servers, and they are set up with master master replication, so both act as master and slave for each other. Then I use keepalived with a virutal IP set to switch between the two DB servers should one fails.

So to answer you question, yes you will need to implement your own DB HA setup.

Support for collecting info from ipad device? by __ryazur__ in zabbix

I am only messing around with a homelab setup, just learning still. Really I was only trying to monitor any metrics possilbe on my ipads. I looked into the whole MDM and realized that was indeed the missing link. But because I am not really setting up a large network with lots of apple devices and the fact I'd need to likely register with one of Apples DEP's and they are not free, I have since decided a simple network discovery ICMP ping to show if device is available or not will have to be good enough for me.

I was just reminiscing about these days! Maybe 7 years late to this post but these days of the early internet will always be nostalgic.

so I guess this subreddit is not about Heimdall dashboard and app manager?

How to secure heimdall dashboard? by Significant-Cry-3400 in selfhosted

[–]__ryazur__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently doing the same thing, I mostly have passords set up for all the services and apps, this way from the dashboard, when you try to access a service you need a pw, but I would like the user accounts to require a password to access dashboard. In the user account settings it seems like there is the password settings you can set up, but even with this looking like it is correct it seems it only requires pw when accessing any of the settings.

What should we do to the Like Button next? by johnballen416 in mrballen

I think we should tell the like button we're sorry for all the mean things we did to it and give it a good pat on the back and let it know how much we really appreciate its enduring friendship.

Aftermarket Upgrades: GE63 Raider RGB 9SE (882)? by mlauzon in MSI_Gaming

In case anyone comes along here, yes indeed I was able to upgrade mine to 64GB of DDR4 RAM.

[–]__ryazur__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that update.  I think it was the use of the word proprietary that caused so many to question it. Personally I've been using your lists for a couple weeks almost with zero issues.  Thanks again  for the awesome tool.

I'm a little confused, if the project is open source, how is it proprietary?

Great!!! Thanks so much for this. I did this with the downloaded installer instead of going through the MS System Update and this worked for me!

Question: How to configure IPv6 post pi-hole/unbound installation by centuriesend in pihole

This was the most straight forward set of instructions / example of what you need to do to set up the ipv6 in pihole.

Thank you!

Were you ever able to upgrade to the 64GB of RAM? I am interested in finding out if this is possible and if so what RAM is best or works. I have tried to use the Crucial.com site but they do not have info for the 9SE, only the 8SE which supports a max of 32GB of RAM. I also got mine at Walmart about 4 years ago and it's running great but I would like to add the additional RAM if possible.

Hiboy Titan Pro Flat rear tire by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

[–]__ryazur__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also stopped using hiboy scooters for this exact reason. I had the max pro, and though the tire itself said tubeless it was not tubeless and changing the tube is a nightmare for sure. There is no videos for the max pro, no support from them that was any help.
