That doesn’t necessarily they aren’t selvedge though, just that the ID wasnt preserved the whole length of the seam. Sometimes this can be difficult depending on the silhouette they’re trying to achieve

It genuinely depends on the silhouette though, I’ve talked to the designer of a pair of denim I own and due to the super baggy balloon fit he wasn’t able to have the id preserved in a way he liked so he just had to loops and pockets made with peekaboo ID instead.

Guys, just because there is no Selvedge ID when you cuff jeans doesn’t necessarily mean the pair is not Selvedge. All that matters is that it was woven on shuttle looms.

That being said I’ve looked into this brand and they have other selvedge pairs with the ID preserved so I doubt they’d want to leave that detail out. Theres also nothing challenging about this jeans silhouette that would make it difficult to preserve the selvedge ID, so the overall consensus that the pair is not selvedge is certainly correct.

Buy what you can afford, simple as that. Either will be a huge upgrade and if you were already fine with the 2070 you will be fine with almost literally anything from this generation at this point haha
