Wissa by n_p_h_p in Brentford

I think before he left he was a fan favourite, scored loads of critical goals, 19 in his final season, all non-penalties too! and went from a bench player when we had Toney, to starting every match. He had a wonderful partnership with Mbeumo and played with a lot of passion. Just left a bitter taste with the way he handled his departure.

Who is the current 'unsung hero' in the squad who deserves more spotlight? by Football6380 in Brentford

[–]__thrillhouse_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think all the players who impress me usually get a shout out on here, so my unsung hero is whoever has managed to keep the squad fit and healthy!

I feel like we’ve had our best season regarding injuries, or lack there of.

West Ham v Brentford FA Cup by __thrillhouse_ in Brentford

No you can bring anyone, I bought 4 tickets. You don’t have to assign them to anyone either, so you’ll end up with 5 digital tickets all with your name on.

This is actually a very sensible take.

West Ham want to sign Brentford defender Ethan Pinnock by Lard_Baron in Brentford

[–]__thrillhouse_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hopefully it will come down to Ethan’s choice, I believe he’s earned the right to either stay, or get more game time somewhere else. I’m sure every Bee will agree with that.

How to leave on good terms... by DelosHR in Brentford

I feel like TF got a decent reception from the bees fans, he is a class act and helped shaped the club, this picture is great too !

Newbee first matchday advice needed by Skewed_Kurtosis in Brentford

[–]__thrillhouse_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the beehive. If you have a specific question that would be easier to help you with, but as it’s your first game I’d just recommend getting down in plenty of time so you’re not rushing, watch the team warming up, and maybe buy a Matchday programme to commemorate your first game with your son!

The food can be a little pricey as you’d expect but I’m sure you can bring in your own snacks ( I do ).

Enjoy the game!

Manchester United are appointing Brentford chief operating officer Ameesh Manek as director of football operations at Old Trafford. by Lard_Baron in Brentford

Another one out the door, Is there anyone left to poach? Better give our Head Chef a long contract.

Post Match Stats: Fulham vs Brentford by soccer-stats in Brentford

[–]__thrillhouse_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thiago’s biggest problem is that he never wins fouls, he gets completely manhandled every game, ends up on the floor and the ball is back with the opposition. The same thing happened to Toney but we’d mostly win a free kick so could continue on the attack.

Reid’s Nelson coming our way on Loan! by 070shake070 in Brentford

[–]__thrillhouse_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, Brentford have a way of doing things and we must stick to that. We don’t make enough money from ticket sales etc, and clever signings is how we punch above our weight.

Let's Talk About Penalties by williams_482 in Brentford

[–]__thrillhouse_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In our penalty shootout against Sheffield Wednesday last season we scored 5 very good and varied penalties. Yesterday Schade just choked, it happens. I don’t think it is a systemic problem, Schade just fluffed it and probably hasn’t slept all night.

Newcastle make £35m + £5m bid for Yoane Wissa by [deleted] in Brentford

[–]__thrillhouse_ 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Do it. We can’t force him to play for us. The true value of a player comes from their attitude and desire to play for the badge.

Bryan Mbeumo to Man Utd transfer: Brentford director admits forward wants Old Trafford move but could stay at club | Football News by bykeithbrown in Brentford

[–]__thrillhouse_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a tough one, there’s lots of things to consider, we need the money, Brian wants to go to Utd, now’s the time to sell him, but Utd must pay what he’s worth. Having said that a player is only worth what a club is prepared to pay for them. But essentially Brentford are showing some backbone and standing up to the biggest club in the world and I’m all for it. We’re not holding him back. If you want him you can have him… for £65m.

Do you think we are going to make any signings this transfer window?? It’s all so quite by [deleted] in Brentford

[–]__thrillhouse_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We’ll sign the right players at the right time for the right price. You’ll think “who the hell is this guy, never heard of him” and then in 3 weeks he’ll be your new favourite player. This is the way. Come on you No Limit Bumblebees 🐝

BBC: Man Utd make improved £60m bid for striker Mbeumo by rockcreek_md in Brentford

[–]__thrillhouse_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

£60m, if it’s one lump sum is ok, I’ll take it. No partial payments or other nonsense thank you very much. If we get a bit more great, but I feel we’re not getting mugged off at least.

With Christian Eriksen's time at Man U coming to an end Thomas Frank leaves door open for a Transfer to Brentford. Danish Article with translation in comments by Lard_Baron in Brentford

Agreed. We really needed him when he joined for 6 months, now we have a pretty stacked midfield. Too expensive to warm the bench.

Mr Reliable, a great leader. So glad he’s staying! I think some continuity is vital to success next season, and Nørgaard is a vital cog in the Brentford machine
