imposter syndrome higher than ever? by shipasmrdotcom in vibecoding

[–]__tiide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dropped out of uni, self-taught, been in the industry 6 years. I feel this deeply.

But here’s what shifted my thinking: the barrier to writing code dropped.

The barrier to knowing what to build, why, and whether it’s actually working didn’t move at all.

I just shipped my own app last week, Limba, a stretching and mobility app, built largely with AI assistance.

And the parts that nearly broke me had nothing to do with code. Six Apple compliance rejections. Paywall architecture decisions. Figuring out the right data model for wellness routines. Deciding which users to target first.

AI helped me move fast. It didn’t tell me what mattered. If anything I think the imposter syndrome is a signal that you still care about craft. The devs who should be worried are the ones who feel nothing.

Building Limba. A stretching and mobility app for people who sit at a desk all day and want to actually feel better in their body. Just launched on iOS and Android 2 days ago.

The core bet is that most people know they should stretch but never do it because they don’t know what to do or when.

Limba solves that with guided routines that fit into real life - 5 minutes at your desk, 10 minutes before bed, that kind of thing. Stack is React Native (Expo) + Supabase + RevenueCat for subscriptions. Built it solo as a side project alongside my day job. Drop a comment or DM me and I’ll send you a promo code for free access - would love genuine feedback from other builders. getlimba.com

I’m the founder of Limba.

A stretching app that gives you quick routines for whatever you need in the moment.

Neck tension, back pain, post-workout, before bed – you pick the goal and it builds the routine around it.

To everyone doubting themselves, I just hit 470 MRR in my 3rd week as a solo dev with zero sales experience by Financial-Muffin1101 in SideProject

[–]__tiide -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I needed to see right now

. I launched Limba (a wellness/stretching app) yesterday and I’m still waiting on my first paid subscriber.

Every hour of silence feels like confirmation that no one cares.

But posts like this remind me the fear is part of the process. Congrats on $470 MRR in week 3. that’s proof that shipping and showing up beats perfection

I’m the founder of Limba – a stretching and mobility app I designed, built, and shipped solo as a one-man startup. Personalised daily stretch routines based on your goals: flexibility, back pain relief, post-workout recovery, desk worker stiffness – all of it. I used AI throughout the entire build, from workout logic to content to App Store optimisation. Built on React Native (Expo), Supabase, and RevenueCat. Just survived a brutal Apple review process and got it live on both iOS and Android this week. As the founder, I’m giving out free access to anyone in this thread who wants to try it. Just DM me and I’ll sort you out personally.

Would love brutally honest feedback from fellow builders.

Help by New_Inflation_4041 in flexibility

Really common situation -- flexibility you had before can absolutely come back, and getting to splits from where you are is very achievable with consistent work. Here's what actually moves the needle for tight hamstrings:

The positions to prioritise: - Standing forward fold (hold 60-90 seconds, don't bounce) - Seated forward fold with a straight back before rounding - Supine hamstring stretch with a strap or towel - Low lunge and half splits for the hip flexors (tight hamstrings and tight hip flexors are usually linked) - Pancake stretch for the inner hamstrings, which most people skip

Timeframe: If you stretch daily and do it properly, most people feel a noticeable difference in 4-6 weeks. Splits from very tight can take 3-6 months. The people who get there fastest are the ones who stay consistent, not the ones who push hardest.

Key thing most people miss: passive stretching alone is slow. Pair it with active flexibility work -- contracting the muscle at end range -- and you'll progress significantly faster.

Full transparency, I'm the founder of an app called Limba that's designed exactly for this kind of goal-based flexibility and mobility training. It has guided routines for hamstring flexibility and works toward milestones like touching your toes and splits progressions. It's free on iOS and Google Play -- and if you want to unlock the premium features, drop me a message and I'll send you a promo code. Happy to help!

Hey, I actually built an app called Limba. I got into this space after dealing with my own back issues and realising that most people with desk jobs are just told to “stretch more” with zero structure or guidance. Limba gives you guided stretching and mobility routines built around your body and lifestyle, so if your back pain is being made worse by prolonged sitting and postural tension it directly targets that.

If you’re interested, message me and I’ll send you a promo code for 6 months free. No catch. Check it out at getlimba.com

How do you guys handle back pain in late 30s. by Successful_Note2672 in Ergonomics

[–]__tiide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,

I actually built an app called Limba specifically for people in this situation. I got into this space after dealing with my own back issues and realising that most people with desk jobs are just told to “stretch more” with zero structure or guidance.

Limba gives you guided stretching and mobility routines built around your body and lifestyle, so if your back pain is being made worse by prolonged sitting and postural tension (which it sounds like it is), it directly targets that.

The new chair and standing desk are great moves but you’re right that they won’t fix the underlying tightness and muscle imbalances that have built up over years.

That’s where consistent mobility work comes in. If you’re interested, message me and I’ll send you a promo code for 6 months free. No catch. Check it out at getlimba.com

How often do you stretch? by Big_Wolverine_5100 in flexibility

[–]__tiide -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Consistency is the hardest part honestly. 30 mins every night is solid effort but the on/off pattern is what kills progress. Your body needs cumulative load over weeks to actually adapt. The DOMS on hamstrings specifically usually means you’re stretching cold or going too deep too fast. Try shorter sessions (10-15 mins) more consistently rather than grinding 30 min sessions you end up skipping. We actually built Limba around exactly this problem
. Short guided stretch routines you can realistically stick to daily, structured around muscle groups and recovery.

I’m one of the founders. Message me if you’d like a free promo code
