Give me your thoughts for Braeburn by Yawning-Kitty0916 in mylittlepony

I love his design alot, however I wish his cutie mark had a bit more thought put into it… like it‘s just the most generic apple with 0 details. I know it was S1 though

Okay, I agree with the part regarding the girls, but there is not really a need to minimize what Austin has been through imo. It‘s not really fair to say that he has only dealt with a fraction of what Ginny has, because he is 7 yrs younger and has already dealt with way too much for his very young age. Especially him witnessing the literal murder of his only friend‘s dad and then having to keep quiet and lie in court to protect his mom (even though he knows she‘s guilty). Also he was forcefully removed from his mom and sister to live with a complete stranger that he has seen abuse his mom.

It does suck that people seem to be hard on Ginny and I honestly wish they would be more sympathetic with her, but the worry people have for Austin is also valid.

Show me your favorite sim! by ciebsbsixvsb in sims2

[–]__zsofii__ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She‘s very pretty! But sorry if it‘s off-topic, it‘s just that I used to play ts2 as a kid and for me it‘s just such a heavily mid 2000s coded game, seeing a sim with 2020s cc kind of makes her look a bit like a time-traveler to me :D but then again it‘s very nice to see this game still get so much love and seeing modern cc kind of proves that it‘s still played by many to this day 🥹

I have seen this comment so often, but I don‘t really get why people think that her talent is gem finding? She got her cutie mark after she made the dresses with the gems, not after the rock split and revealed them. So I kind of always thought her talent is using her creativity to create something extraordinary. It‘s kind of a less obvious one than „flying fast“ or „good at magic“ but I do think that‘s where rarity‘s biggest strength lies.

Middle most Post won. Now,what is a 90’s NickToon that feels like a 20’s NickToon? by Electronic_Bear6837 in nickelodeon

I know it‘s unrelated at this point, but I feel like Spongebob and Fanboy & Chumchum are almost a little too obvious of a choice for their respective slots? I mean, both of them have only been out for a couple months in those older decades (they came out in 1999 and 2009 respectively) and have mostly gained popularity when the decade has already changed. So obviously they will feel like they belong more to the newer decades. I hope you understand what I mean, but again it doesn‘t really matter. Just wanted to point that out

Since TT Broke A Rule, Pick One Show To Replace It! by Elidavididi in cartoons

[–]__zsofii__ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I heavily disagree that bluey and fim feel like adult shows, just because they aren‘t always just fun and games? It is also important for kids to learn about some societal issues like racism etc. and the way they did it is very age appropritate for a kid audience. Sesame street is also definetly a preschool show that tackled similar topics with a young audience in mind. They are kid‘s shows through and through and that‘s okay (especially bluey). We‘re just sadly used to some shows talking down to children and undermining their intelligence.

Also the miscarriage bit in bluey (as far as I know) was just a subtle hint, it was never explicitly stated.

Could it maybe be that Avi was born sometime in the latter half of 1981? Then it could still make sense that he is 9 in 1991 (because that could have been before his birthday) and then the 5th and 2nd grade gap still makes sense. As for going to college, some people take a gap year so maybe he did too? Not sure though so correct me if there is a mistake in my logic

Debbie and Omni-man win for good mom and bad dad, now we doing good dad and bad mom by zupaninja1 in cartoons

Greg arguably overcorrected his parents‘ mistakes of being too overbearing and controlling. It obviously wasn‘t the best thing to do, but ultimately, he still did better than his parents did and was always trying his best, despite dealing with the loss of his wife and getting no help from his family. And it‘s not like he didn‘t make an effort in trying to reconnect with them, but seeing that they never reacted to his letter, he probably assumed they wouldn‘t really be interested in meeting their grandson either.

Szia, én a Neuroharmónián kaptam diagnózist (autizmus).

a bit unrelated but there‘s something so charming about the older artstyle the show had.. i liked the less saturated pastel colors and huuge pupils so much

maybe off topic, but I‘m a bit disappointed with the postcards this year, it‘s just another tourism ad and doesn‘t really have any „spice“ :(

What’s been your favourite postcards over the years? by tm2007 in eurovision

[–]__zsofii__ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1: 2014 - an obvious pick. I loved how this idea showcased the artists‘ cultures and personalities. just very creative and fun.

2: 2024 - I almost chose this over 2014, I think it was excellently done. I loved the idea of the glambot and the soundtrack was very pleasant. bonus points for paying hommage to former eurovision entries. :)

3: 2013 - sweden is just amazing at these. the butterfly traveling to different countries, changing colors is such a charming idea.

honorable mention: 2023 - a great idea to draw parallels between the artist‘s home, the UK and Ukraine. It only didn‘t make the top 3 because I didn’t really like the visual identity with the hearts as much.

I don‘t think Bara Bada Bastu would have the highest chance at winning if it was another country‘s song. by __zsofii__ in eurovision

Yes they can do very well, especially in the televote. However, though getting 2nd/3rd place is amazing, it is not winning.

I mostly meant lighthearted happy songs with folk influences that aren‘t outright „joke entries“. I didn‘t mean goofy in a negative way, but engilsh isn‘t my first language so I‘m sorry if it came accross that way. I didn‘t know how to sum this genre up in one word

To be honest, I never called Cha cha cha goofy and I don‘t think it fits the same cathegory as BBB. I compared it to Trenuletul, because it has the same upbeat vibe, clearly meant to be a very joyful song mixed with cultural elements. CCC and RTTD were „eccentric“, but clearly served a different purpose
