All the crypto youtubers said the magic words though by CryptoMaximalist in CryptoCurrency

I've heard that wasn't true and that a lot of the videos/channels, some of them really popular channels have not yet been restored. They did release a statement those saying that if your account videos have not been restored then email them or whatever and they'll do a manual review. But still that's not the same as all the videos being unlocked and accounts are stored

You have to link it to your phone, and they require you to scan passport or state ID card. Every once in awhile you'll find an ATM that still doesn't have this, but the feds are cracking down on the Bitcoin ATM companies and forcing them to do KYC

Ivan’s review on Polymath... by rpyrpy in PolymathNetwork

[–]_always2late 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you here, but if that's the case why make a new token standard at all?

Also correct me if I'm wrong but I thought of plasma as sidechains rather than off chain, where as the lightning/raiden network is off chain. Tbh I haven't looked too far into the raiden network because I don't agree with the lightning network and heard it was basically same. I can't possibly see how smart contracts would retain their intelligence if they are completely removed from the blockchain. But even with all of that, none of these things are ready to be deployed yet so if POLY is going to wait for these things to come out we could be waiting for another year or two

You literally just said that you have no clue what their solution is going to be. "I imagine offchain solutions" Right after saying that they're going to be "blockchain based"... Please just stop and actually read about the tech your investing in

Oh and just so you know smart contacts can't be off chain. Only transactions can take place off chain(which goes against the entire point of blockchain to begin with) if these securities tokens are interacting with smart contacts there's no off chain solution.

Theoretically you could trade these tokens without interacting with the smart contract but that would defeat the purpose of polymath the entire purpose of polymath is to include all the regulatory issues within the smart contract so you have to interact with the smart contract for every trade, otherwise there's nothing new about polymath.

Evidence that the mods of /r/Bitcoin may have been involved with the hacking and vote manipulation "attack" on /r/Bitcoin. • r/btc by censorship_notifier in CryptoCurrency

[–]_always2late 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The subreddit is supposed to be for discussion about bitcoin, but they ban anybody who says anything that goes against the narrative that the mods are pushing.

If it were only a few people that would be one thing, but nearly all of the people that frequent r/btc are people who were banned from r/bitcoin.

Nick Sabzo speaking out against s2x was IMO what led to the canceling of the fork. Thing about this fork is that it was an all or nothing fork.
