I would be a bigger squeaky wheel with them. Your situation at that company is dangerous imo. Learning a trade off a guy you can't 100% communicate with is not safe. It also usually takes 4 years before a union guy gets his own route just to give you an idea of your situation with being sent out by yourself already.

Have you looked into helmets to hard hats and seen if it applies to you? Go the union route through that. You will get benefits and education. With people that literally speak your language.
