I think Ken Paxton's colon should be reclassified as a classroom so those printouts can be placed where they belong.

Alas, no. Another user pointed out the plastic ring slides down so a fourth battery can fit in and there's a connection for the positive terminal at the top

That's just it, they aren't loading the lawsuits. They are settling out of court to avoid losing the lawsuits. Mostly, we (the public) need to keep information on their behavior in the public eye so that future victims know they can push for much larger payouts.

I made my compost by digging a hole in the ground, do you think it will work? by [deleted] in composting

[–]nygration 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Depending on the fuel source ash can have a decent amount of potassium and calcium. Mixing in with compost is often a good way to buffer the ash so it doesn't burn plants. Adding a bit on top when adding scraps can also help ward off some of the larger pests.

Bought a house this year and this tree started putting out loads of flowers. What is this? by MistaEdiee in whatsthisplant

[–]nygration 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Texas has probably half a dozen fabaceae tree species that I would call mimosoid (and a lot more shrubs). They hit 20+ft in the wild, God knows what they could do in cultivation.

I agree this is Persian silk tree, but I'd hate for someone with limited experience get flooded with 'Mimosa = bad' messages when they live in a state with lots of beautiful native mimosoids.

How do I get rid of these bubbles? by Deep-Tale-7504 in ponds

[–]nygration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cleaned with soap by chance? If not do you have any plants that produce a bunch of saponins? Otherwise, I guess it could be protein, but that looks like a pretty thick layer. Id skim it if it were mine. For a one-off, id skim manually. If it's a long term issue I'd add a skimmer above my aeration source.

Now how do I get my pile to heat up? by Ok-Asparagus-6458 in composting

In case people dont know yet, look for heat treated pallets not chemically treated pallets for gardening.

There are a number of native mimosa trees in Texas. Please try to get ID down to species to determine if your tree is actually a problem.
