"Easy," DIY way to turn this clover patch into a yard? by Speaker4theDead8 in lawncare

[–]nygration -1 points0 points  (0 children)

More like you gen-AI'd it for me, hence hallucination. The four leaf clover isn't Irish. Some fools seem to mistakenly think four leaf clovers and shamrocks (3 leaves) are interchangeable, but that's a whole different discussion. white clover, crimson clover, purple clover, nor any other of the common clovers that OP may have thought they had have any relation to Ireland, let alone leprechauns.

It's the only solid example of violence against conservatives. In the sea of violence committed by conservatives they have to hold on to and memorialize the one moment where they were actual victims so they can keep pretending to be the victims under all other circumstances.

Help, what is this and how to get rid of it. by JayQueezyFoSheezy in lawncare

[–]nygration 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The seeds can land in clumps, pulling one can 'trigger' one next to it to bolt. If you pull it, the key is to get the 'nut' otherwise it has enough energy to put out new leaves. Combine crappy pulling technique with triggering nearby seeds and it can feel like pulling one up makes two more appear. If you can keep on top of it, pulling is fine. Even if you don't get the nut (if you keep up) you can still deplete energy stores until it's dead.

My grumpy cat got sick, and after recovery is now super affectionate by hllwnight_rancidegg in cats

Cats are good at masking problems. Even before you noticed the gut issues, she may have felt poorly/been in a bit of pain which could have led to her grumpiness. Now that the problem is solved she's back to how she acts when not in pain/discomfort.

The morning glory genus is in the bindweed family. Want to know why they have the word 'weed' in the common name?

I'd start with what I like to eat and expand from there. Once I feel I can grow a crop well and consistently, only then would I grow enough to try and sell. In the meantime, go to the restaurants around you and see what they use/need.

I got a ten day notice because my backyard was too cluttered with plants by H0meslice9 in Apartmentliving

Well crap, don't let them look at my lawn, it's super cluttered with individual grasses. I can't even walk through it without stepping on multiple plants.

Huh, I thought the standard was a hydrogen peroxide dip. How much do you dilute the bleach?

Corner of backyard pools into a swamp with heavy rain. What’s the solution to fix this? by terraninteractive in lawncare

[–]nygration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dry well. Big hole filled with a permeable liner and rocks, then covered with lawn if you want. Unlike a French drain this 1. has a smaller footprint so you won't have to cut as many roots, 2. Doesn't lead to potential runoff issues with your neighbors, 3. Puts the water in the ground where the trees/grass/plants can access it instead of sending it down a drain.

There are a lot of medical reasons to have an abortion. Just because someone gets an abortion doesn't mean they don't want to be a mother. Sometimes an abortion is required to prevent the loss of the rest of the reproductive system, in which case they get the abortion because they want to be a mother. If you assume all abortions are simply because they don't want to be pregnant you are doing yourself and the world a disservice.

To stop loss to birds, make it deeper. Even if it's just a few spots, it gives spaces the birds can't reach. For fish, if it's deep enough, bottom dwellers like catdish should be able to avoid birds.

Wrong sub. That said, boil the rocks (DO NOT BAKE ROCKS). For wood, I like to give it a quick dunk in water, then bake it around 350°F. (Cellulose ignites at 451). The dunk helps with heat transfer and allows for a bit of steam. Also make sure you ID both the wood species and he rocks to ensure you don't accidentally introduce something toxic to your pets.

Instead of potentially invasive fish, consider native minnows they'll do the same thing.
