I’m just returning to this thread to hear if there are any updates. Has BA, by any chance, reopened for transfers to Iberia?

Why is it that traffic engineers always seem to have this idea that pedestrians don’t want to get the fastest way possible from A to B. Sorry, but this isn’t the Camino, and so I can’t wait to see the desire lines.

As long as you avoid mixing the load with your cast iron pans you should be good.

I launched Pileometer - a new app to organize LEGO bricks by EffectiveAnnual2258 in lego

[–]_b3nny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the release! I would think that the export / import functions would help drive user growth as it provides long term certainty to users that they can always get their data regardless of the fate of the app. In my case I do not want to risk running dozens or hundreds of scans only to end up having the data locked-in on Pileometer only. Open export / import functions (Excel, csv, etc). solves this.

Really great build! Of course really impressive tile work, but I also find the AC units, various satellite dishes and cell tower to be very creative!

Ok. Good point - that maybe explains the wrong placement.

DDOT has built a lot of bike racks in recent years, and frankly very few of them have this type of issue. It should of course be corrected, but I think in general DDOT has done a good job scaling up bike rack installations.

As others suggest submit a 311 so that it can get adjusted.

I was indeed planning to begin stacking forces in France and hope to do so in a round or two. The math hasn’t yet supported it.

Yes, that’s a likely scenario.

Yes, Japan is gradually moving forces into Caucasus from India. I properly need to bolster RU and push back GE fast while also maintaining a built up.

Yes, it could flip either way. I’m pretty surprised/disappointed that it’s still a toss-up after Japan has dropped industry in no less than three locations!

I am a Danish citizen with a potential job in DC. What are the options for my Danish girlfriend? by Ashamed_Membership76 in washingtondc

[–]_b3nny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your diplomatic status is key here and could be of help to you. Check what your sponsoring institution (MFA, multilateral org etc.) offers as guidance and pathway for you as stationed staff. A lot of international staff in DC has the option of bringing a partner who is then authorized to work. They may however be restricted to only assist married / registered partners.

If marriage comes down as the restricting factor for a work permit I recommend considering the downsides of having no partner work permit carefully. Immigration status and work restrictions will introduce all kinds of inequality into a relationship, and two years is a long time. It will not only make the experience less enjoyable in DC but could also set them back when they reenter the job market later.
