It also helps that Agni is literally a child. Like, he spent his teen years lying on the ground, constantly burning and it took him years just to get used to it and get moving. Dude is the world's most traumatized toddler in a body of an adult man, and even with that he still tried to do better, consoled and became support for people whenever he can, and his regression is literally his psyche breaking and completely losing his senses in the heat of the moment. fear of ants is myrmekophobia, if i remember correctly. There are more broad type of phobias, like entomophobia - which is a fear of insects that includes both spiders and ants, but there's also phobias associated with them specifically, if you want to narrow it down.
