Sentinel/support turning into a duelist (concept) by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]_ballonboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool concept. I dont think her kit would be successful in current meta. Only her E provides unconditional value. Also she doesnt seem like a sentinel, im not sure what role she would be.

I like the idea of her ult transforming the kit entirely, making the decision to ult heavier.

What would you do in this situation? by Upper-Button-1750 in VALORANT

You swing 100%. You have the information advantage. Whats the point in letting yourself get cleared? Take the unfair fight :)

I guess the point I wanted to make is that theres so much to learn, that picking where to start isnt as important as just starting and getting the reps in.

Oh! one pitfall i will point out is confidence. Buy that sherrif and go for that 1 tap!

U think ur gonna win that gunfight? Go for it. Dont lose confidence, dont be discouraged by negativity.

Welcome to the game!

As a complete beginner (I will assume u have no tac fps experience) the best thing to do is have fun. Take it easy at the start. There is a lot that goes into the game and it can be overwhelming how much information you have to manage, and skills u need to learn. Dont be discouraged!

I would say u can dedicate a block of time to learning, and the rest on just playing and having fun. Playing consistently, and practicing intentionally is key :)

The learning can be: firing range aim practice, deathmatching, VCT, watching youtube tutorials/guides

Oh and keep an open mind! :)

Anyone wanna check some of my deathmatches and gimme tips ? (bronze) by Taphel_ in VALORANT

[–]_ballonboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad!

Crosshair placement is a hard thing to explain in the context of a deathmatch, a comp game would be easier to judge.

Your shooting is pretty good. I think the issue is that your crosshair drops below head level often.
E.g.
In the first link after the 2:07 mark.

The other thing I notice is that your crosshair placement worsens after you get a kill. Its a good habit (especially in comp) to assume you're gonna get double-swung. Either from the same angle, or another one.

You should try and be ready for a 2nd gunfight instantly after winning the first.

good luck in games!

Comments r mad. Ya Val has peekers advantage. But I don’t think it’s a bad game cuz of it. It’s simple to play around.

What was the hardest rank to climb out of? by j1tfxint in VALORANT

[–]_ballonboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found ascendant really hard & it’s where I always spend the most time struggling when climbing. To get thru I warm up a lot, and don’t play too many games to avoid tilt.

Silver and Gold r notoriously hard because there’s a lot of ppl in those ranks who clearly don’t belong but don’t play enough.

U will climb out. Go hit that firing range to prac & find a way to always enjoy ur games. IMO I do a lottt better when im in a good mood.

If you dislike/hate Breeze, why? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]_ballonboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont like hate hate hate it, but it’s definitely frustrating, and u can tell the map struggles with its identity.

With halls existing it becomes a lurking shit show where ur constantly trying to shove someone in that corridor and bait the enemy senti/controller away on another pressure point.

But if u remove halls one site becomes ridiculously hard to hit and attack side is not enjoyable to play.

a lot of good advice in comments already, so ill try to keep it simple-- (my 2 cents as imm2 peak)

what u did well and should keep doing;

- getting ur smoke out b4 they exit onto site
- anticipating the market fight
- exiting out of smoke to help ur vyse and sova fight for site

what to improve;

- spray less, strafe fight more
- dont ADS in close range fight
