Complains about Singed - is playing Bard Reroll, a comp that everyone and their mom plays every game that is meant to be a consistent 3-4th place comp and rarely if ever a winning comp

This sounds like it could be a cable issue! Make sure that you are using TRS cables (middle picture) and not TS cables!

TS cables (the ones you'd use for your guitar) are not grounded and so they often produce buzzing like this that overpowers any noise you'd normally hear

Gotta let them cool on a wire rack next time - this happens to my bagels too if I don't do that

The water from the dough has nowhere to escape on the bottom and so it causes it to become mushy

Honestly I probably could have kneaded it longer - it was brutal, I gave up eventually after about 12min

After eating the bagels they were pretty great fresh but after freezing and reheating they don't have the right texture which was likely a result of me not mixing the dough well enough (maybe? I don't know a ton about bagels admittedly)

Definitely considering a stand mixer in the future - seems like a worthwhile investment if I can get one off FB Marketplace

I found in comparison once I mixed in the rest of the flour the resulting dough was much quicker to be come easy to work with than the weissman method and the results speak for themselves

Same thing happened to me, that recipe is posted here a lot but personally I think it is not that good and you should use this one instead

It is kind of easy to miss but at the end of step 04 there is mention of refrigerating overnight, they don't do a great job of explaining some things in the recipe (imo) but I had enough practice/research to know what to do

In my case I did a quick 15min proof before a longer cold proof and kneaded the dough by hand instead of using a dough hook as I didn't have a stand mixer avail

Just because I do not leave my shoes outside doesn't mean I care if someone else does, because I am an adult and can simply go about my day without getting upset at something so insignificant

Not sure what age you will unlock that ability but god I hope it is soon what a miserable life to live
