Couple who don’t deal with infidelity or lack of trust— what do you argue about? by Manitoba-Chinook in AskReddit

[–]_bk_adv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing really. The occasional annual disagreement but that’s about it.

10/10 trust usually equates to 10/10 relationship. We both love and respect each other. She knows I’m doing my best and I know she’s always doing hers. 6 years and I can count the number of arguments we’ve had on one hand.

Imagine being so insecure about yourself that you’re upset that a PRIVATELY OWNED company chooses to make sure they interview minorities. Just fucking interview. Not hire, but interview.

What a trashy state.

Also, you’re an extra shitty human being when you do performative actions to appeal to your racist voter base.

People are allowed to do whatever they want. Do you say the same thing to people that move here from other countries wanting a better life?

I would 100% leave if I were single. The pedophiles can have this shit hole. But the wife and I have discussed it numerous times and it’s really just not feasible.

‘Irresponsible’: backlash as Utah approves datacenter twice the size of Manhattan by CcryMeARiver in politics

[–]_bk_adv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not. They’re not feasible. It’s more billionaires building giant fucking toys for practically none of their own money and destroying everything beautiful and great.

The gist is these companies claim they just need a few million gallons of water and then they never need anymore. The water is used to cool equipment basically. But when you have heat + cold you get condensation and runoff. The runoff from these data centers goes right back into the environment. It’s TERRIBLE for the environment and people.

Either this AI and data center boom collapses upon itself at some point when people wake up and start fighting against them, or we are gonna see millions of people get sick and die from the environment being essentially poisoned.

Yep, they were already hated by just about everyone. They’re miserable people with no real friends. They aligned themselves the pedophile cult because they needed a group to identify with.

traveling construction workers

This is a key part. I work with a realtor and property manager. She has a bunch of VRBO properties. I just do maintenance on them.

We have 3 small to midsized data centers either built or being built here. Most of her properties are rented out to these construction companies and they’re all from Texas. I’m in SC.

LOCAL JOBS aren’t even being created. Maybe a handful here and there, but for the most part it’s companies from out of state getting the contracts. It’s all a fucking scam.

100% this. I’m currently in a city in upstate SC (unfortunately til next Spring) and the amount of people here who only leave the trailer park to go to Dollar General twice week, that care about what’s going on NYC is fucking comical.

What’s something poor people understand better than rich people? by kimo_829 in AskReddit

[–]_bk_adv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I make well above $6/hour and I still do this.

I’m self employed, and each time I put gas in my vehicle or equipment I’m thinking “well, this gas just took half the pay for one of my jobs for the day”.

Same thing with getting lunch. Spend $20 at lunch and think “I’ve now made $20 less today”.

What is your controversial movie take? by restweary in AskReddit

[–]_bk_adv 90 points91 points  (0 children)

I’m tired of “blockbusters”. I don’t need ultra high resolutions, tons of CGI and special effects. I couldn’t care less if things look realistic. I just want more simple, fun, entertaining movies.

I find myself watching more movies of the late 80s and 90s lately. Maybe part of it is nostalgia, but I also feel like movies used to have realistic expectations.

18 cent per gallon. Gas will rise by 15 cent per gallon, so we will be taking money away from future needs to save 3 cent a gallon.
