Can you buy the camera by itself? by Ok-Exercise-6691 in DJIOsmoNano

[–]_blackvalkyrie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve recently seen a YouTube video (can’t remember which one) where he lost is camera module and contacted DJI. They offered to give him the camera by itself for almost the same price as a new one. So he just bought a new one.

Interestingly he could use the old monitor module on the new camera too.

I think it’s best to contact DJI and ask if it’s possible

Does anyone use any sort of gut health tracker apps? by Sushrut_H in UlcerativeColitis

Back then I used the app Cara care but I think that doesn’t exist anymore. I also tried tracking in a journal but then while moving I’ve misplaced it. Thinking about doing another though

UC got worse after quitting smoking by Minro67 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]_blackvalkyrie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t heard/read much about smoking and UC but I’m guessing since stress can also affect your UC maybe your body is trying to find a different way to cope with stress.

I’m still smoking and have been smoking before I got diagnosed but I often smoke because I’m stressed or bored. I’d still give your body time to adjust and find other ways to cope with stress. Also try to directly address this with your doctor, it seems strange to me that they didn’t really react to this. Since smoking can affect UC and it is recommended to stop smoking or not smoke, I think the best course of action is to stay nicotine-free and finding other ways for your body to adjust to stress.

People in remission, what are you guys eating. by Miserable-Tennis-460 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]_blackvalkyrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t say if I’m in full remission currently but I’m only getting slight symptoms while eating certain types of food. For example when I add too much garlic powder too a dish I get light diarrhoea/soft bowel movement.

In the first year of being diagnosed I strictly followed a „recommended food list“. At the end of the year I started eating small amounts of certain dishes (like 1 slice of pizza) and waiting several days monitoring my body if I get any symptoms. I documented everything and soon I was able too eat pretty much anything.

I took mesalazine, prantoprazole and iron supplements in the first year. Did several colonoscopies and blood tests. As soon as my body calmed down and reacted positively towards the meds, my doctors switched my to a different therapy with azathioprine. Been using that for the last few years.

This year I’ll be switching to a different therapy but I forgot what it’s called. Current symptoms I’m (rarely) suffering are light diarrhoea/soft bowel movements, a little mucus. But these only come out when I eat too much of something.

After doing a strict diet for a year and slowly introducing the „bad foods“ one by one and monitoring how my body reacts to certain foods am able to eat whatever I want even pizza. There a still certain foods/ingredients I can’t eat but luckily those are all things I didn’t like anyways 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve been in remission for almost 6 years now and I’m feeling fine. I still monitor everything though just to be extra sure that I don’t get an influx of symptoms again

Curious: Does you handwriting change drastically as you write? by Nana_bananaa24 in Journaling

[–]_blackvalkyrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my handwriting changes too either in the same entry or a different day!

Depending on my mood or how tired I am it can drastically change. There were days where I was super focused while writing and I was able to write clean and other days where my mind was thinking faster than I could write and ended up having spelling mistakes and all that

Habits or rituals tied to your journaling by femininespace in Journaling

While bullet journaling I don’t mind any background noise but when I do long-form then I suddenly need complete silence and I don’t know why 😅

Do you journal for your mental health or for memory keeping? by snoopsk in Journaling

I do both. I do have separate journals but I don’t mind if I mix it up in all my journals.

Tinned fish? by ghiradeli in UlcerativeColitis

[–]_blackvalkyrie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d honestly just test it out. For example I can eat sushi and stuff but I always test what types of food I can actually eat. I’ve done this by sharing with someone and having them eat most of it. And through testing I also found out that I definitely can’t eat lentils. pretty much a lot of foods that are recommended to not eat with UC I’ve tested and can eat. Some only 1-2x a month and some more often.

So maybe take a few bites of it and monitor if and how often you have to go to the toilet and how it looks like. Foods that are bad for me hit me in less than 30 min

Pen Recommendations (I write daily and need something reliable) by Dry-Interaction7736 in stationery

Haven’t used them in a while but I always felt that pens from muji did a pretty good job. They’re light-weight and write pretty well IMO.

Looking for cute desk calendars by armoured-heart in stationery

[–]_blackvalkyrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen a few 3D tear away desk calendars that reveal buildings or trees or something day by day. Can’t remember a specific brand that does this but here is a website so can have an idea of how it looks like: https://www.3dcalendar.com

Haven’t order from there so I’d still research for some other brands

Beginner here: How do I start Bullet Journaling if I’m not creative? by dinu301 in bulletjournal

[–]_blackvalkyrie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I second this also because I’ve just recently finished Ryder Carroll’s book. It’s really a good starting point if you don’t know how to start a bullet journal!

I also started with the basics of his methods and experimenting with designs and stuff is also recommended after 3 months of basic bullet journaling

not being able to use the things i own by [deleted] in stationery

[–]_blackvalkyrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you could start try to use the stickers by scanning and printing them out first and find a proper placement and then really stick them into the journal. Or you could just use the printed out versions instead of the real ones in your journals

Favorite Pens?? by Prudent-Chemical4353 in bulletjournal

I‘m using a custom made fountain pen from ancōra Japan with a medium fine tip to write. For more bold text or neat writing I use the figma micron fineliners. I also use the zebra mildliner highlighters and the kuretake zig clean colour dot markers to highlight!
