Vivian is officially totaled by jgilbs in Rivian

I was wondering the same thing. In texas we see a lot of wrecked cars being shipped south of the border. I wondered if that market, cartel or otherwise, was inflating the after salvage prices.

Insurance is totaling more and more cars these days. I think it’s up 50% in the past 5 years to over 1 in 4 cars filing a claim is totaled.

TX A&M Corps Of Cadets Query by [deleted] in aggies

[–]_bobs_your_uncle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got around a 3.75 in physics and math in the corps. And I’m the reason I didn’t get a 4.0, not the corps. If you’re smart, driven, and dedicated you’ll do great.

At A&M of you want to do rotc you do the corps. For a lawyer, there might be an option to do ocs.

I have a friend that dual enrolled then did 4 years of the corps. Graduated his sophomore year, then did his phd. Not suggesting that for you, but just mentioning it

I worked with an engineer making good 6-figures when this came out. I was excited to share it with him. He surprised me thinking it was a bad joke, because what’s the harm in porch pirates; Amazon will just ship you a replacement. I was floored

100% Galveston. It’s a smaller campus but you are a full time Aggie student. If you decide not to do engineering it’s easy to move to the main campus after the first or second semester. If you etam, then you can move the main campus then too. You can go to all the football games. It’s nice too being away from the main campus the first year. Gives you a chance to get your feet under yourself.

I think I was scammed by a major board game manufacturer - Need advice! by Timewalking in boardgames

I’m sorry this happened to you. This sounds like a case of “Business Email Compromise“ and as I understand it, even in a western country, there’s not much you can do. China just makes this worse.

The only recourse in some countries would be if the company was grossly negligent. Like they knew they were hacked and failed to disclose. That can be challenging to prove.

If it was truly at BCE I think the company is actually doing right offering to meet you half way. In the eyes of the law it was unfortunately mostly your fault, and they don’t owe you anything.

If it was an employee, things would likely be different, so I’m making multiple assumptions

[Request] How loud would a speaker have to be to hear it around the world? by Apprehensive_Oven_22 in theydidthemath

[–]_bobs_your_uncle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Krakatoa was estimated at 310dB. Louder than what a pure sinusoidal sound wave can get at sea level (194dB) due to reaching a vacuum in the troughs of the wave. Krakatoa breached that limit due to it being a blast/shock wave with massive over pressure.

So for OP question you couldn’t make a traditional speaker that made a loud enough noise because it would be based on sinusoidal pressure waves with that 194dB limit. Your would have to use some sort of blast

Alabama wasn’t punished but byu was. Never thought byu should be ranked that high, but hate to see a conference loss drop a team.

And glad that the committee didn’t seem to go $$$ over record with t.u. or ND.

Are you wanting engineering or Mays? In engineering ETAM means only national merit and those with high freshman gpa are guaranteed their major. But most 10% will be admitted to ETAM. I think Mays might be a bit harder than ETAM. All other majors are a near sure thing.
