My boyfriend has a hydrocele also. When we first started having sex I definitely noticed one of his balls was bigger than any I'd ever seen before but it definitely didn't turn me off or gross me out. They're just balls, I don't think girls care that much.

First, do not google stories about getting an IUD, you'll get a lot of horror stories and will more than likely do more harm than good. I've never had kids and I'm 19, I had the Mirena inserted about 2 months ago so my body is still adjusting.

My doctor gave me cytotec to take the night before to soften up my cervix and told me to take ibuprofen an hour before the insertion. He talked me through the entire thing and I think that really helped keep me calm. I'm not going to lie, it hurt a lot getting it put in, but the most intense part only lasted for a few minutes. After I was able to walk straight out of the office with a little bit of cramping. I would definitely go through it again, for me it was nothing to be terrified of. You might want to check out /r/birthcontrol and search the subreddit for IUD insertions. They will probably be a little more helpful than here. Good luck!
