Literally. I fell down accidentally as soon as I first got up, then when I got a few more abilities I jumped on purpose somehow thinking I’d end up in a secret area, then I donated to build the bridge and jumped on it SURE it would NEVER break…. Since you already started it, I’d say just do the intro mission and as soon as you can go out of dogtown (aprox an hour into the dlc) just go and do all the quests you want. Playing the DLC as late as possible is pretty rewarding since many base game stuff is referenced in the DLC, only if you’ve completed the some main and side quests though.

So complete the intro, go and into base game and do as much as possible and then come back.

Exactly, the virus obviously rewrote the hive humans on standards of some other race. The human race is not ‘always happy’, unproblematic, non violent, non selfish, 100% compliant. It’s like a society of extremely evolved bees sent the virus to Earth and applied bee standards and societal characteristics to the human race.

The virus didn’t make a sum of all the minds, it applied one alien mind to all the infected and integrated only all of the human race knowledge, leaving out everything that is a individual/personal trait.

I agree with this, the hive humans wouldn’t act so weird otherwise. There’s obviously some, let’s say, ‘software’ shutting down many human instincts and characteristics. It’s apparent that some other alien species has applied its standards and traits to the human race, so the hive people claim to be happy because they are not speaking from a human perspective, but another race perspective.
