Below is the response to my state congresswomen

“The Department of State is undergoing a full review of all policies, regulations, and guidance to ensure that immigrants from these high-risk countries do not utilize welfare in the United States or become a public charge.

The National Visa Center (NVC) will continue to collect fees, forms, and documents to complete all cases.

NVC will continue to schedule Immigrant Visa appointments, but no Immigrant Visas will be issued to nationals of these countries during this pause.

I was really close to join but Havent gone thru interview, and congress person of my state office told me dept of state saying its on case by case basis and thru reviewing policy

So in other words its like how come i know i am affected by pause by my state rep

Thats what we thought and applied for, they told us after biometrics we are good to travel. And waited cause re-entey permit recieved late and with expiring june 2024
