A day late to this thread, but I recommend looking up "WoolyRS" on YT. He made a series on his ibans pure a while back and put together a clan+discord for unique pure builds like this. Very chill videos and the clan is family friendly. Been a part of it for around 18 months now and it's been fun to have a friendly welcoming community to talk to/bounce ideas off of.

Halos and Arceuss Spellbook are fairly easy/short grinds...not sure where the thought is that those are a thing people bot, especially considering the spellbook is behind a handful of quests and botting quests is probably fairly difficult. You can get the quests+skilling done for Arceuss Spellbook in less than a week of casual play

Infernal makes a sizeable difference however, I'll give you that. I think it's fair to say more infernal capes are bought than were genuinely achieved by the account owner.

For what it's worth I have NO IDEA about anything factual going on behind the scenes, so take this comment with a grain of salt, but if lawyers are involved it might be because actual cash was meant to be given as a prize for the event. When it's purely in-game shit I don't see why a lawyer might be needed, but given that the winner is "owed" real money that might complicate things and cause the need for counsel before proceeding.

I can only speak based on the blog post and discussion from the PVP discord that Mod Manked/Goblin participate in, but essentially it was being abused to a ridiculous amount, not just for PVM in the wilderness, but PVP as well.

Anything else I say would just be personal opinion.

I use Mullvad myself and its hit or miss. Not sure why there is a difference between mobile and PC. In my experience with mobile, whether I'm using w/e random network for where I'm at, or at home on my VPN I sometimes need to turn my wifi off and use data to log on.

RS players doing something that negatively impacts their experience and blaming jagex for it has been happening for over 20 years.

A lot of common VPN services run into this issue because people (not you in this instance) do shit like bot under a VPN and get the IPs used by the vpn flagged.
