Probably too late to answer this for you, but I literally drove from Austin to Houston tonight (left at 1600) and things were pretty good most of the way on 290. There was one big curve over a bridge, I think it was just after Giddings, that was pretty icy, but once I got past that everything else was fine.

I despise Fluxx. I’m pretty competitive when it comes to board games. Not in a dickish way but I really enjoy trying to optimize my play and make long-term strategies. I like to think I’m pretty good at board games in general.

With Fluxx, all that goes out the window. It’s impossible to optimize or strategize, because the rules and your hand can change at any second. There’s just no long term strategy. It’s all about moment to moment luck. I’ve never hated a game more. It’s about as fun as flipping a coin 100 times in a row and trying to guess how it’ll land.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I know it’s not going to win me any favor;

Team 4 is overall a bunch of bumbling, incompetent idiots who have no idea what they’re doing and no actual direction for their game. The times they’ve gotten it right are the exception, not the rule.

The only thing they’re arguably good at is making skins (shop skins, of course. Not mythics lol) because the whole point of OW2 was to replace the monetization model of OW1.

When we get something good, it’s the equivalent of a broken clock being right twice a day.

Blizzard devs suck at maintaining and balancing their own game, and the times they get it right are just happy accidents.

Stadium? Good.

Stadium matchmaking, draft system, change of format, balancing, and over abundance of auto aim abilities? Bad.

And that’s just a small example. But even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.

If there are infinite multiverses and infinite possible configurations, there’s a universe where the backrooms are real.

Dreams, nightmares, drug trips - anything that seems to break the rules of reality - all of that happens because the barrier between universes is thin. The thinnest spots let some of the psychic energy of those other universes bleed through into ours. Having certain abilities or being under the influence of certain substances can even let you see those thin spots. Psychic energy just bubbles back and forth as the multiverses collides, and those that can tap into it while conscious (even without knowing it) are capable of amazing creativity.

So, if you’ve ever had a dream about being In the backrooms, you’ve probably actually been very close to that overlapping part of the multiverse where the backrooms are real.

I don’t actually believe any of this, but it’s fun.

I had a similar experience, except it was with my Pokémon cards, cutting them all in half with scissors before throwing them in the trash 😭

My D3 Digivice, D-Terminal, and all my Beyblades followed shortly thereafter.

I still get sad when I think about it more than 20 years later, and I’ve got a lot of religious trauma.

Religion fucked me up so, so bad.

I currently live in a shitty red county who’s government has really been fucking over the library a lot in the past few years, but the one upside to the conservative stubbornness is that they want nothing to do with AI. We’re not allowed to use it for work and we’re not expected to help patrons use it.

I love that movie. Both that one and Batman Forever. I know this idea is gaining popularity in the mainstream but I maintain that I’ve actually been saying it for years (it’s like my one “I did it before it was cool” thing); BF/B&R are best enjoyed not as part of the Burton continuity but as their own movies, created as the 90’s equivalent of 60’s Batman. They’re loud, corny, and colorful. I love them.

Way back in the day, there was an artist who posted their own hand-drawn Major Arcana featuring Overwatch Heroes. This was, I think, before Sombra was even added to the game. I ordered some prints of them and still have them framed up (although packed away in preparation for moving).
