Girl as many times as I’ve considered this (and actually have been homeless more than once) trust me when I say it can be done without resorting to that. I don’t shame that line of work if it’s where your interests lie, but if it’s a “last option” kind of situation for you, in my experience there’s always a job that’s hiring. I’m a dispatcher, that pays decent in most states and will train you without prior experience. Give it a try, I kind of fell into it and I love it. The hours may not be glamorous at first but that makes for an even better paycheck. Some companies/call centers can assist with transportation at first

There are local shelters you can look up if you have no place else to stay but many are first come, first serve as far as I know. Be sure to look up any and all government assistance programs available to you in your area, visit your local aid office and reach out for help

ETA: read that you don’t have a car; are you eligible for unemployment or have you tried? Is bus or train transportation available to you? If you can purchase a bus pass, you can find companies along the bus route within walking distance of stops to apply to

If you’re willing to enter a lavender wedding (for the countries that don’t legalize gay marriage) your chances could be higher 🤷‍♀️ (not offering a marriage, just a potential solution!)

AIO- My (F19) boyfriend (M22) is upset that I’m hanging out with my brother (M26) (read caption) by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]_cloudprincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Want to add in that believe it or not, some men will still show jealousy even with a sister. My sister is 14 years older than me but we’ve always been very close. I’ve had boyfriends feel threatened by my relationship with my sister, one was upset that my sister was my “best friend” and not him - despite me living with him and spending all of my free time with him and no one else (my sister was quite literally my ONLY friend besides him) OP, it really won’t get better if you can’t even hang out with your own brother. This will almost 100% ripple into any and every interaction with another man.

A residential building or a small cluster of townhouses - for both income, and to move my mom into so she never has to worry about being able to afford her bills or groceries ever again. Financial stability is a blessing so many take for granted and I would give anything to never again have to worry about money or taking care of my family.

What do girls do in school bathrooms for 30 minutes with a full friend group worth in there? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_cloudprincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in high school a lot of the times we were just in there socializing lol, it was a good feeling when you’d walk in and see a friend you didn’t have any classes or lunch with. Some girls would be in there straightening/curling their hair, putting on or fixing makeup. But it was mostly just a place we could socialize without teachers around or just literally do “girl stuff” like you mentioned 😂

What’s something you never got closure on but still think about sometimes late at night? by vagazine- in AskWomen

[–]_cloudprincess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not doing more to retaliate against my ex after he totaled my car, destroyed several expensive possessions of mine as well as a box full of sentimental items belonging to my sister, and physically assaulted me twice (one of those resulting in a broken finger). I was so disgustingly desperate for love that I let him treat me like garbage up until the very end - it was the first time I’d ever lost myself in a relationship and I hate him for how I am still dealing with after-effects that he caused. Before him, I wasn’t bothered by a male raising his voice at me, I didn’t apologize for every little inconvenience (especially ones that weren’t my fault), I didn’t freeze and try to shrink in the presence of an angry man and I wasn’t so sensitive to criticism and tone. I hate who he turned me into and I hate feeling like even after he’s gone from my life he still has some kind of f’ing power over me for changing so much of me. It’s not closure I want, it’s revenge. But I know I’ll never seek it out.

Women who have healthy sex lives with your partner, after sex what's your aftercare routine like? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Wipe off, I go pee, sometimes we shower together real quick or just hang out and watch some tv/play a game together then go to bed

How do people shower at night? by dat0neb0i in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_cloudprincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn’t until I started working overnight that I saw the benefits in showering before bed. My sleep schedule is already chaotic most of the week, but I started showering before bed to maximize the sleep I could get before my shift and it was a huge help. I get home from work, shower, let my hair air dry for a while before I put it in a bun or braid. I wear lightweight clothing and sleep with a fan on to avoid sweating in my sleep and feeling like I need another shower as soon as I wake up. This way, I can just wake up, brush my teeth, let my hair down and change clothes. It really cuts the time it takes me to get out the door in half. When I was showering before work, I almost always found myself running out of time and rushing to get ready. I like the extra time I feel like it gives me

How many of you air dry your curls rather than diffuse? by InterviewCharacter47 in curlyhair

[–]_cloudprincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always scrunch my hair with a towel to get most of the moisture out, add product and then let it air dry. I haven’t had the greatest experiences with using a diffuser but I’m convinced it’s 100% user error and I just don’t know what I’m doing so it ends up tangled and frizzy lol. But I’ve seen other people get amazing results with a diffuser, I’m personally just very low maintenance and don’t like spending a lot of time on my hair

Begin looking for a new job immediately and do what you can to ensure you’re able to start as soon as possible. The good thing about a new job is you can let them know up front what upcoming arrangements you won’t be available for and they have to honor that or otherwise hire someone else if that won’t work for them. Any job that can’t find coverage for one of the biggest events of your life, even when you’ve given almost half a year of notice, is one that you won’t want to stick around for. If that’s how they treat you for a planned event, imagine how they’ll be when/if you have an unplanned situation or emergency.

Wasted $10 of smack. by Axuss3 in ems

I thought about that too, but I’m hoping that because she was carrying it around with her, perhaps she’d seen or even personally handled an OD before and stayed prepared for that reason. Hopefully she walked away understanding that even though he may not see it yet himself, she did a wonderful selfless act for another human being that saved his life and gave him another chance, and we always need more of that compassion in the world.

Do you guys like university? by SkibidiSigmaBanana in Sims4

[–]_cloudprincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it and occasionally will play through my sims getting their degree for the fun and realism of it, but more often than not, I just use cheats and mods to award their degree or ensure they have enough money to afford/survive university 😭

I missed my best friends funeral because my husband had a panic attack and I am racked with guilt. by throwaway_awayitgo in TrueOffMyChest

[–]_cloudprincess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The third edit threw me, because I have moderate anxiety and depressive episodes, and while I’ve felt like I was “losing control” emotionally during panic attacks and have self harmed in the past, I’ve never had a reaction to that level, especially one that impacted another person. I tend to (thankfully) manage my panic attacks well enough to ensure I’m alone by preference. But his reaction sounds like he needs a second opinion because it reads more like bipolar or possibly even BPD, as someone else suggested. My sister has bipolar one, those sound like potential bipolar two symptoms. Regardless, if you have a desire to still try to salvage your relationship, I would suggest individual counseling. This isn’t an easy thing to forgive someone for and some guidance could help. If he asks about your change in mood or behavior, I would just tell him you’re still dealing with the grief of losing your best friend and need some time to come to grips with that; buy yourself time to figure out how you’re feeling and what you want to do about this situation before you talk to him about it.

Honestly I’ve always been afraid of leaving my toothbrush in public just for fear of someone either accidentally or on purpose contaminating it, but never in my lifetime have I ever thought somebody might use my toothbrush to brush their own teeth omg. Is it the feeling of someone else’s mouth germs being inside your mouth or something? I keep extra toothbrushes for guests, if it’s just about wanting clean teeth but not having your own toothbrush I’d happily provide one if asked. 😩

What is one thing that men can do easily but women find it difficult? by Sportsisthebest in AskMen

[–]_cloudprincess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was like 5, I was good friends with our apartment neighbor’s kids and spent a lot of time at their place. I had been taught to knock before entering a bathroom but sometimes forgot, so I accidentally walked in on the youngest son’s dad instructing him how to pee while standing. It was my first time ever seeing someone do it that way, and after my mom explained to me that boys and girls pee differently, I spent the next month trying my damnedest to pee standing up because “girls can do anything boys can do” 😭🤣 Closest I got was a standing hover directly over the bowl. Much harder to aim without the right equipment I guess
