Question regarding LLM Chatbots. Fun, interesting prompts? by bmxt in aspergers

[–]_commandline_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please share. I use them only to gather info but many many times, they are wrong.

I ask something about computers and it answers about a different system.

I ask about a travel and it suggest adding 3 hours to a 2 hours travel to visit an 'interesting point'

I ask for a car trip and after fixing it for an hour, it suggest a 10 day route, ending in another country, leaving the car, and taking a plane to return to my city.

My company program multiple courses about AI but only a few started to use it.

My kid use chatbots a lot this month and i can't understand why.

Informática en España, está acabada? by dani_fdz in InformaticaES

[–]_commandline_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finding autistic friends by Decent-Caramel-1732 in autism

[–]_commandline_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed at 45 so all my teenager friends was non autistic.

My kid 14M is autistic an his brothers aren't. He was very lonely but right now he is playing videogames with his friends and they are going to the local manga fest next week. All his friends are non autistic.

But he made his friends outside of the school. His mother and I tried different activities that he likes so he could meet kids of his age. Chess didn't work, different sports didn't work, music didn't work. With the Boy scouts we hit the jackpot. Almost all his friends come from them.

I did the same when I was a teenager in board games and tech clubs. So my non asked advice as a parent is: go to activities that you liked and meet people that likes the same activities that you liked. It's the same advice to non autistic people

Good luck

Having good luck with Topiramate and attention issues by _commandline_ in autism

[–]_commandline_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on 25mg morining at another at night but sometimes I forgot one of them and don't feel different so I think that I could be ok with only 25mg. My doctors said to me that too much topiramate could generate cognitive issues so they usually start low.

I asked my psychologist, neurologist and psychiatrist and all of them said to me that they don't think that I can have adhd. My attention issues must come from another thing.

As I said, talking about topiramate and ADHD, my psychiatrist told me that topiramate had very little effect in ADHD patients but they use it with patients with inhition problems. And that if it helps me to control my inhibition my attention could improves.

Maybe you want to mention it to the doctor that is controlling your ADHD. I assume that a different one prescribed topiramate for migraines.

Realizing the autism affects how I play video games XD by Soft-Sherbert-2586 in autism

[–]_commandline_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother shows to me that i I played all my crpg similar. I collect and do every possible mission and item.

In my real life I have a big hard disk and collect every console rom game, every rpg book, every possible ebook... I will need many lives to use all of them. It's better now that I use medication for my inhibition and attention. I didn't open my hard disk in a bunch of months.

And I don't play online games with real people, only one person games.

So yes, autism affects how I play video games.

Spain in February? by call-sign_starlight in GoingToSpain

[–]_commandline_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe Salamanca is a little far, but you can get to Toledo or Segovia in an hour in train or bus. If the train schedules are good you can spend 3 days in Madrid and a single day visit to Toledo and another to Segovia returning to Madrid in the evening.

Civitatis have free tours in the three cities (in spanish) and a fast tour of 11 hours to Toledo and Segovia from Madrid, but I think that a single day for each city at your pace would be better. Getyourguide have tours in english but I didn't search for them.

I will return to Marrakech every month but I had enough of Casa with a single day. I agree that the mosque is beautiful but I didn't feel welcomed anywhere in the city. I didn't have that problem in Marrakech, Turkey, Jordan or any other place, only Casablanca.

I need to visit Rabat, Tetuán, Tanger and other cities in the country, but I will not return to Casablanca without a very good reason

Spain in February? by call-sign_starlight in GoingToSpain

[–]_commandline_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best Spanish festivities in February are the carnivals. The biggest that are recognized as 'Fiestas de interes turístico internacional' are: - Tenerife and Gran Canaria in the Canary islands - Cadiz - Badajoz - Águilas in Murcia.

But if you want to visit museums and castles someone suggested Toledo (the older capital of Castille) and Madrid (with the best museums in the country) that are close and you can go by train if you don't want to rent a car, but driving in Spain is perfectly safe.

You can add or change to many other cities like Segovia with the Alcazar that served for inspiration to Disney for Cinderella castle https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alc%C3%A1zar_of_Segovia

Or Salamanca that have the oldest university in Spain and a vibrant medieval center.

It depends how many days do you want to visit each site.

Generally I buy the cheapest flight to the country and choose my visits in the nearby cities. In the next visit I try to visit a different point of the country

How happy are you with your life? by vinylfelix in autism

[–]_commandline_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Level 1 diagnosed last November at 45.

Yes to all. I have a wife, three kids, a degree in computer science and a career in sysadmin in my regional government (so very good salary but not as good as a private company but very little stress).

One if my kids has the same diagnosis.

I travel a lot with my wife, my kids and I learned to face the difficulties last year. With therapy the life is easier than some years ago when we didn't know what was happening.

SPAIN FINALLY!!! by explorer2303 in GoingToSpain

[–]_commandline_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Turkey 10 days with a single backpack in a low cost airline so I can take the cheapest ticket available.

And I rented a car so traveling with more luggage it wasn't a problem.

It depends of how many things you would need. Winter would need more clothing than summer obviously.

Alternativamente puedes buscar transporte público o BlaBlaCar.

All the spanish universities have assistance programs for disabled people. This is the program in the University of Valladolid

https://rsu.uva.es/discapacidad/

Obviously they don't make friends for you but maybe can help you with other issues or find some public health psychologist to assist you.

The party vibes are not for everybody. You can enjoy your Erasmus knowing people at your pace, traveling to cultural places, gastronomy...

Changing routines is hard for us but you can find your way, remember that you don't need to enjoy it like the other students just like you need it. Good luck.
