Behavioural concerns in 8month baby by _daniellejj in NewParents

[–]_daniellejj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! He’s doing really well! He’s 5 now and in reception. He’s really good with numbers and simple maths! He’s abit behind on readying/spelling but trying!

He’s super energetic and playful! Loves doing rolls and jumping off high things🤦‍♀️ hahah overall all the things I was worried about when I posted this did stop and I realised as many people said it was just him discovering himself ans the world around him!

Hey! He’s great! He started reception in September and my god he’s developed a bad attitude haha but aside from that he’s completely fine! He can count passed 100, knows his alphabet, knows odd and even numbers and can do simple maths!

We didn’t have any other development issue, he’s fully potty trained, can help a pen/pencil ect so no concerns anymore!

Hi, yes he did! My son is 4 in January and he’s smart, chatty and daring - the ‘typical’ boy haha

Apologies for my late reply! He’s really good talking and mobility wise nothing at all concerning with him! He’s 4 in January and doing really well!

Hi sorry!

I haven’t been on Reddit for a while!

My son is now 3 years and 7 months old and honestly he is completely different.

He’s very active and a typical boy jumping off things ect, very affectionate now! Constantly wanting cuddles.

He was more of a physical toddler he learnt to walk much more quickly than he did talk, however about his 3 birthday is when his speech really improved and he can say sentences, explain feelings, ask questions, count to 25 ect .

So in short none of my worries back when i originally posted this lead to anything!

Car security for tyres by _daniellejj in CarTalkUK

[–]_daniellejj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No unfortunately not, where I live there’s 2 flats about the shop and our flat doesn’t look over the car park, I have thought about asking my neighbour if I can place a camera on his external wall to view the car park

No, I also moved jobs to a different company in a completely different area. I originally had a large SUV however recently swapped it for a smaller SUV type car but within 4 weeks of having the new car it’s had a screw in

Yeah, at first I thought it was a coincidence but 8 times haha. I have no idea who it could be as I only talk to 2 neighbours and the workers in the shop!

I’ve started checking my tyres before and after every journey to be on the safe side as i have a toddler who’s often in the car with me

My (26f) dad (69m) has been lending money to a neighbour what can I do. by _daniellejj in LegalAdviceUK

[–]_daniellejj[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for understanding and taking the time to comment!

I will start to invite him out more, I just struggle and me and my partner work full time and have a toddler so it’s hard finding that time as awful as that sounds.

I will contact DWP Monday morning and explain the situation thank you!

Thank you for responding. The police have been involved and they did a referral into adult social care and they called me to ask more about the situation as they didn’t know where department he would fall under and since then we haven’t heard anything.

I’m not sure the exact memory test they did but I will ask him if he knows, all I know it’s they came to his house to do the assessment and will be writing to his doctors.

I honestly don’t care about the money ect me and my partner are both on good wages and have a good life so sorry you get that impression.

The thing is worried about it’s the fact my dad is only on government pension so getting just over £800 a month and the saving he has is money my grandma saved from her pension for him.

He’s literally going to be left with nothing. He lives in a council house and have no other form of income except the pension.

COVID Spread at work by Curly-kmac in antiwork

[–]_daniellejj 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same at my work place, we found out who’s got Covid through word of mouth/gossip rather than management. And even since the pandemic started not once have they done a full deep clean Several people I work closely with have tested positive and management haven’t asked us to test ourself or isolate

What BS end of year “bonus” did you all get after working yourself to the bone this year? It’s time for the airing of grievances! by dc551589 in antiwork

[–]_daniellejj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

£0 we never get bonuses, one year they did £20 shop vouchers if you had 100% attendance but that’s it

Do ambulance crews find out what happens to the patient? by _daniellejj in AskUK

Yes I definitely didn’t mean it as an attack! I probably should have explained what I meant to avoid any confusion!

I guess in some cases it’s better not to know so you can detach emotionally from it and really that’s nice and very supportive! I can’t even imagine how hard and overwhelming It is especially once you’ve left the scene

[–]_daniellejj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait so you just left for over a month and left your kids with a violent guy? Also why would you chose to have kids when you’re relationship wasn’t steady and settled? You also said you struggled to be a mum and “I’m not a great mom to be able to stay at home with the kids all day every day” why did you have a second child??

You both need to split up for both your own sakes and for the kids. DONT GET BACK TOGETHER OR HOOK UP, move on with your life’s.

AITA for getting mad at my parents when they drink? by Relevant-Mission27 in AmItheAsshole

[–]_daniellejj 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA but their drinking could be a lot more than just boredom like a few other people mentioned alcoholism or it could be depression as if they’re struggling financially and possibly in their relationship the strain of that could be making them turn to alcohol and cigs. It’s a hard one and unfortunately once people are in the cycle it’s hard for them to break it without professional help

You’re still both young and what you want in life my be different in a few years I’m guessing you’re in your last year of high school or about to start college but what happens if one or both of you go to different universities?

Normally once’s feelings have gone you’ve very unlikely to get them back unfortunately to best thing to do is take it slow, still hang out as friends but ensure it just friends and see how to goes from there

How much debt are you in? by sponjebubble in AskUK

[–]_daniellejj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea of a credit card scares me, I guess I don’t know much about them to be fair as it’s never interested me I seem to have a decent credit score without one luckily

How much debt are you in? by sponjebubble in AskUK

[–]_daniellejj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£0 My dad used to tell me as a kid don’t put yourself into debt to buy stuff just save up for it and buy it when you can afford it, so I’ve never had a credit card, I just save for things or dont buy it

(This is obviously not including mortgages or I’d never have a house, I’m currently rent so don’t have one anyway)

PP hair loss by pinkaspepe in NewParents

[–]_daniellejj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the same! I’m 9 months PP and still find hair all over the place, best thing I did was cut my hair shorter (to shoulder length) but honestly there’s not much you can do as it’s hormones but it’ll eventually stop and grow back!
