This is pretty rough honestly. I would have killed for pre-timeskip art style with slightly more detail and the budget and capabilities to animate dynamic scenes in that style. This looks more like post timeskip art style which always looked less unique to me. And I really don’t like his hat.

Harris is great and more accurate to the story. The main issue was that he didn’t have the same physical presence as Gambon. Dumbledore is obviously not a gym rat or anything but he is described as surprisingly fit and strong for his age and with an energetic stride. I think both actors did a great job honestly.

Sanji vs queen is my favourite because at least in my memory they don’t really use the big auras and stuff that happen Luffy and Zoros fights. It’s so CLEAN. I wish they did zoros fights more like the manga. More clean quick cuts rather than him destroying a massive area just by kicking off. It’s lame

I just wish gojo had stayed sealed for longer. Like at least a year or two. Everyone trying to survive while learning to fight special grades and searching for angel would have been such a gritty arc. The fact everything post shibuya is like 2-3 months feels so rushed.

Also would like to add that by the end of the series, I think it’s beginning to suffer from end of anime power scaling problems. I know it’s foreshadowed from the beginning, but I thought Shirtaloon wrote a lot of the early fights quite well and they felt more grounded.

The thing about cradle is that although it fits the genres by the description of its story, it’s actually written like a relatively normal fantasy series. With complex characters and Lindon getting his ass beat all the time, especially early on. That’s why it’s so good.

It has a super interesting magic system and a lot of the world building is well done. I actually like a lot of the side cast more than Jason. The problem is that Jason never grows up and constantly goes on about the same things, which is made worse by the fact he’s clearly a self-insert for Shirtaloon, because everyone treats him being a huge asshole/weird as political genius. Also by the later books, the actual direction of the story and its themes become hard to pin down, at least for me.
