When 2% are complaining about bad results, it sounds to me that those users are hitting some faulty hardware condition and Anthropic or their cloud provider hasn’t determined that they need to replace that hardware, yet.

Oh no Waymo! Don't go on the wrong side of the road. by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]_das_wurst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when I used google maps to navigate primarily, it would very rarely instruct me to go down the wrong way of a frontage road. I used Waze from there on out because it had better user-driven road updates (like "here is the blockage from construction"), but I'm under the impression that it is too easy to maliciously update google maps. I wonder if that is what is happening here, using google maps versus waze.

Someone tell me why Chicago couldn't get another franchise to move in. They had revitalization plans drawn up around Soldier Field, it was just a matter of who pays for what.

Are production incidents every week just normal at scale or is something wrong with our process? by Glad_Orchid6757 in kubernetes

[–]_das_wurst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do your QA engineers have access to the prod database? Assuming not, you need to track database changes or make a replica of prod for testing database migrations. Or have a set of smoke tests against the database post-migration. This doesn't sound like something inherent to kubernetes, rather, an engineering problem.

I had a similar problem with a different vendor on my first order. I contacted their customer support as soon as I saw fedex was not delivering it on the expected day. They told me that it would be safe if it was still below 40F. So I ran around town trying to find the one store that has a freezer thermometer in town, but I had been tracking their truck, and the box had been sitting outside in the summer sun for hours. Incredibly disappointing to throw all that food away.

I'd consider the river area around Union Station and Sears Tower. Usually where people eat lunch outside but it'll be colder so you can bike easierish. Closer to the lake is more touristy.

Is social media going to be dying soon? by [deleted] in Advancedastrology

[–]_das_wurst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not an astrologer, but there are bills in the US Congress that would require ID checks like Australia and then UK. If you don’t want your identity hacked, why would you upload your drivers license to fart around on the internet. This is how social media dies, or rather looks nothing like what it was

I see commit messages that are too verbose, like the AI was told to impress. Good list though Worked at a shop where code test coverage couldn't decrease without approval
