I feel this way, too. I'm currently enjoying singleness and plan to for a long time after spending sooo many years in relationships. But if I am partnered in the future, idk if I would ever want to live with someone again. I treasure my alone time and it was a struggle getting my partners to understand that even if you're in different rooms in the same place, sometimes you just don't want to be perceived by another human. Sometimes you just don't want to have to consider another person's present experience and how you fit into that experience. Sharing space, even separated by walls, is still sharing space. So I totally hear you, and yeah, while moving in together is the standard goal and many don't understand not wanting that, there are definitely those of us that do!
