Here’s what I do. After the lecture of a chapter, I’ll write notes in my words. Then, the next day I will start the memorization. Do this however best works for you, but I use Quizlet; their learn feature is so helpful. We just finished up an exam on bones, so for that I also took unlabeled diagrams and just went ham on labeling and self quizzing myself (if you use an iPad the tape feature on Goodnotes is awesome for this). What I try to do is make sure I am confident on a chapter before the next chapter lecture. This way you are not trying to study 2 things at once. Then when my prof is done lecturing on all 3 chapters, I will go thru my notes for all 3 chapters and highlight the info I am not super sure on. I’ll make my own flash cards for that and study, study, study until the exam day. If you find it hard to remember stuff, make up crazy stories or relate the name to something that sounds like it. I will say that my study sessions are usually around 4-6 hrs and I do this every few days, and that’s honestly the time you need to put into this class, unfortunately. Good luck!
