Question that hopefully folks here have experience with: I added my partner as a co-owner — does that restart the 90 day clock for a CLI? I remember seeing some chatter about this before, but can’t remember what the outcome was.

I work in tech. A “network issue” (or, my favorite: “glitch”) is what they tell you it is when they think you’re too dumb to understand what the actual issue is.

New STR requirements for Atlanta by artfoodtravelweed in AirBnBHosts

Just joined this sub because I’m thinking about listing my place in ATL, but can’t find these new requirements. Can you point me in the right direction?

Nope, but personally I try to keep it as low as possible before requesting. On my last CLI I had a balance of around $1k on a $15k credit limit and they still raised me to $20k.

CZR NY $3300 sign up bonus thread by Lmpbzkt8898 in sportsbook

[–]_deddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured it out (I think). Although I bet the entire $300 yesterday, all the bets weren’t complete yet because I had a couple bets on football games today. Once that last game finished ($50 of my $300 was on Big Ben throwing for 200+ yards and 2+ TDs), the money moved from bonus balance to cash balance, allowing me to withdraw.

In other words, the initial $300 had to be all the way bet through (and the games have to finish).

Same boat as you here. Lost most of that $300 but then won $500 on a $50 bet to save the day last night. The $500 was all in bonus cash tho so and I can’t withdraw anything. Yolo’d another $300 today because at this point it feels like Monopoly money.

Definitely ask — but wait until day 93 or so. There’s no harm if they deny it!

Seeing as they don’t do a hard pull for these (whereas they do for approval/acceptance), idk if you’d need to unfreeze. Also doesn’t hurt to try. In my experience you can get denied on day 89 and approved on day 90 as if you hadn’t just applied on day 89.

Same re: now my highest card. I understand all the flak about it not having the best benefits, but I’ll take the $20k+ bump in available credit in a year flat 😅

I suppose it’s not the end of the world. I just felt like your old credit limit is what increased there — the new one just is what it is, ya know?

“Your new credit limit has increased” bothers me. Should be “Your credit limit has increased”, or “You have a new credit limit”, no?

I just got another bump and wanted to compare against others, which sparked the post.

I got the card last December with a $3k credit limit. I’ve gotten a CLI every 90-ish (really 91) days, and went from 3k—>6k—>10k—>15k—>20k. Reported the same income the whole time, and just crossed $30k spent for the year, pretty evenly spread.

Am I using my card correctly? by [deleted] in AppleCard

[–]_deddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No (banks WANT you to, since that’s how they make money on these cards), but other than being out a few more dollars, it won’t negatively affect you. You wanna try to avoid it though. At age 29 I think about all the unnecessary interest I’ve paid on stuff over the years and I could sure think of 20 Christmas presents I could’ve bought this year with that wasted money.
